oof what the hell happened? I don't remember Tim singing so bad the last time I saw them live and this can't be more than 2 years...
I can't remember when I last time applauded to a song that I've heard the first time, oh wait, yeah bad luck blew me away, and lake of fire was next up and I could not believe what I heared. Probably the most unexpected favourite album of the year, because I really never was that much into We came as romans.
This was extremly solid even though I was sceptical and also a bit out of the band in recent years. The two singer concept also made me worry but works better then expected.
Only thing is, the songs may all be solid and even good to very good, but it falls off a bit in the second half as the songs seem to become repetitive
After I liked the past two albums so much I was kinda hyped for this. Well I gave it a pretty high score over all but I am still a bit disappointed because most of the songs are good, there are only few stand out songs and in the whole it loses itsself by becoming... boring. Still a great listen but I feel like they could have done even better
Okay, it is time.
I don't want to go back and read through all my previous Linkin Park Reviews but I am sure I said it like 100 times that I am sick of all those Linkin Park wannabe Fanboys who think that everything after Hybrid Theory and Meteora is bullshit. But one thing I have to admit. Linkin Park did many experiments and evolved in many directions and they were always, yes I said it, alway, awesome. But they never managed to get back to the glory of the first two albums.

My first touch I had with R.E.M. was, when my host mother (for my study year) in England handed me this CD and I was probably to understand the beauty of most of the tracks. But even then, some songs touched me deep inside and everytime I come back to this, it reminds me of a very emotional time in England.
I gave up trying to find them good when they were on stage on a local festival. I never liked this dude's voice but live he did't even hit that notes. On this album the songs are boring, long and annoying.
Horrible
Up to this point, everything was just foreplay
I don't wanna say out of nowhere because she really showed her potential multiple times before but this is on another level.
eeeh, I'm very divided right now.
Don't let the high score fool you, this is the worst score I've ever given any of Linkin Park's stuido releases and I loved everything, yes you heard me, everything, they've done so far. Linkin Park and of course Chester drew me into rock music in the first place and inspired me in a way that only very few bands can.
But I am also sick of all those Linkin Park wannabe fans that have so much to say and can hardly name a song off any ... read more
Thanks for the recommondation from holsgr.
The voice and style remind me a lot of Godsmack.
All in all, it's definitely an album worth listening to. The band manages to create a certain atmosphere. On the website they advertise with desert rock, so in a way oppressive and lonely. I wouldn't have thought of it on my own, but there's something about it. Musically and vocally, I can't find much to criticize, but I was missing that certain something, something that makes the ... read more
WTF is this? Is this real? Is this the same band? Where did this come from? What is happening?
AOTY!
When will people stop shitting on great music for hating a person? Divide the art from the artist, man.
What is the Independent talking about? I Mean, do they have ears? The powerful vocals? For real? You can hear autotune in every note and it still sounds wrong. Not to speak about power. Where the hell do they find power?
This is betrayal of every fan that pays hard earned money to see a croaking old man (speaking from experience)
Yeah, it is kinda strange to give this such a rating as I found it pretty uninteresting. The album is not bad by any means. This is a phenomen I actually find a lot in Pet Shop Boys. Nothing really bad but also nothing really special lately.
There is not much left to say. Thank you Sum 41 for being a big part of my life, for all the inspiration, the strength, the good and the bad times, the smiles and the tears and for this wonderfull parting gift. We see us in June!
Did I ever write something about Sum 41, one of the bands that accompanied through a significant time of youth? No? well then it's about time man.
Sum 41 released their last album and there was a time, when I travaled thorugh the whole country an bought festival tickets only to see this band. This was when Deryck left recovery and it was not sure if I had the chance ever agian. Time skip to 2023 when Sum 41 announced their final album with their final tour, they were playing at 2pm on a ... read more
