Green Day - American Idiot

Flawless masterpiece

Green Day - Saviors
87

Not gonna lie, I was more than just a little concerned after the infamous slip called father of all...
Next up on my list to rate is American Idiot so I really wanted to listen to this before the 2004 banger because I was sure this will have no chance of a good rating after it.

Also I was concerned because it seems that all my bands I used to love 10 years ago continue to release absolut bullshit. Green Day was no exception and I am more than happy to tell everyone that Saviors is the turning ... read more

Post Malone - AUSTIN
97

This grew a LOT to me over the year.
This is such an emotional and beautiful album.
But yes I can see the point of people calling it boring, I found it boring too on the first listen, but the songs grow over time and today I would not agree.

Anastacia - Our Songs
79

Wow, she covered a lot of great songs and for most of them, she did a great job.
Die Toten Hosen - Tage wie diese works actually better than expected with Best Days. Also Scorpions - Still Loving You is very touching. Hearing Peter Maffay on his own cover was also very nice. What really didn't work was An Angel. She doesn't even come close to the touching emotione of Angelo Kelly so that one falls flat. Also supergirl and Born to live feel not so great.

Oh yeah and I didn't like Monsoon ... read more

Creeper - Sanguivore

This is somehow hard to describe. I really forgot about the last albums but I remembered the band for being interestin but I really had no clue how they sounded. But this really kinda reminded me of ... HIM lol
Fun asside. This album is probably very different to what they have ever done so I can see the progress in their works. A lot of the songs work brilliant with the epic and spheric sound and the really low and beautiful voice. I think I have to listen to it some times again to really get ... read more

Of Mice & Men - Tether
75

I feel pretty divided about this album, no better said, about the whole band. There was a time I was kinda into them. But lately I just actually forgot, they exist. The album does it similar. I can't really say why. There is nothinng actually bad about this album. Some would say it is too soft and, yeah I would agree. But also the clean vocals are nice to listen to. But when the album ends, there is really nothing that got stuck. Nothing I would want to come back for being absoultely a banger. ... read more

Pitbull - Trackhouse

You guys just all hate fun man.
Sure this is nothing of high quality or even witty
But it sure is fun.

Skindred - Smile

After Big Things kinda disappointed me I was not that hyped for this album. But this thing was sursprisingly good. Gimme That Boom is a banger.

Edit: Yep this thing gets the 100 full. Set Fazers gets an upgrade. I can't get this song outta my head. impressiv stuff

Avenged Sevenfold - Life Is But a Dream...
37

Back then, it seemed like everyone liked The Stage. I never really got warm with prog. Metal or Rock or whatever this might be and I did not like the new direction AS were going at all.

Well here we are and when I look at the user score, people seem to be finally with me, but when I scroll through the ratings this album seems to devide the listeners.

So for me, this was an interesting album, better than The Stage was, it did a lot of experimantal things but: Experementing doesn't make it ... read more

Rise Against - The Sufferer & the Witness
100

When I talk about Rise Against I always say, this is the best album. Rise Against was a band that accompanied me through my late teenager years and was one of the big reasons for my punk phase which I don't regret for a second nowdays.

Going through this now got me a huge mixed bag of feelings.

1st: How the actual hell could I ever forget why I even fell in love with this lifestyle, this music, this band, this attitude?
2nd How on earth can this be so long ago, it feels like yesterday
3rd I ... read more

Bury Tomorrow - The Seventh Sun
100

Wow! I mean, I did like a lot of their earlier stuff but was never really into them. (Probably need to change that) I remember that I also liked Canibal a lot but after one listen, I hardly ever went back to it. I really think this could happen here again, because the sad thing with a lot of great metal bands I have: (one huge example for me is "In Flames") The songs are great but they don't get stuck in my system and shortly after I heard it, it is gone.

Bury Tomorrow is one of ... read more

Metallica - 72 Seasons
63

This is exactly what I expected from Metallica in 2023. For a little over an hour, I nodded my head in time.

What can I say much. This is a good album with a hell lot of fun but really nothing memorable on here. Comparing to Hardwire, I think this is pretty similar but on Hardwire I had one or two songs, that really stood out. This is kinda missing here for me but maybe some of the songs grow on me in the future.

For now I can't say really much more as the album liquidly went through and I ... read more

My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade

This album has some lows, yes, but the highs are so insanely high that you actually are not able to recognize those lows. This is not only randomly a piece of music history!

Lana Del Rey - Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd
13

I should probably stop listening to all the Lana Stuff she drops. Her current sound clearly isn't for me, she put my face to sleep the third time in a row with this album...

You Me At Six - Truth Decay
85

I have known You Me At Six for maybe 6 years now but SUCKAPUNCH was the first album I really "experienced"
And as the album grew a lot on me over the year, I was actually a liiiittle hyped for this one.

I'm writing down my thoughts while listening rn

Mixed Emotions: YES, this chorus is killing it. I really like the melody of it
No Future? Yeah Right: That is gotta be a fav, the breakdown is really cool
heartLESS: Those samples give the song a beautiful spirit
Who Needs Revenge...: ... read more

Paramore - This Is Why
30

So, last time I gave a paramore album a bad rating some randome person wrote me I should delete my rating, bc. obviously I am not allowed to rate a paramore album like this. So here we are, Must hear album, critics and users are celebrating the album and I'm sitting here listening to the music and thinking to myself.... How? or just why.

I mean I really don't understand why everytime paramore drops an album the crowd goes nuts. This really is nothing special to me.

Yes I never was a ... read more

Ava Max - Diamonds & Dancefloors

Well this is reaching higher than her debut. Has a lot of catchy songs but some are very medicore. Also no outstanding song but this might grow over time

P!nk - I'm Not Dead
97

P!nk and her songs helped me over some very hard times back in the days and relistening this now just let come up a huge amount of feelings. Also I just find her voice so impresing. In 2019 I finally saw her life and this remains one of the best concerts I ever was, what a powerwoman she is.

Moby - Ambient 23
0

So what is this album supposed to be for? I imagine like a house party with some ambient music in the background, okay. But if you put on this record this will just make everyone sleepy. So maybe put it on when you have some guests that just won't leave... Thoughts...

Billy Idol - Happy Holidays

I mean like, did the world really need this?

"Finally an honest review by a stranger I can work with, thanks for that. Everyone that has listened to it are family and friends and of course they all find it awesome haha. It is pretty hard to rate your own music as I have played every song on this probably over 100 times and when you hear something over and over again, somewhen everything sounds cool in a way :)"

"I mean, I can accept that musical taste can differ a lot, especcialy in music. But a user review of 10 for this? You can't tell me that the rating of most of the users on here isn't biased. Another example for this. Take the controversy around the movie Music by Sia and look at the ratings and reviews for the soundtrack. I don't even wanna start why I disagree with pretty much every review about popular monster, because it's hard to win an argument agains pretty much everyone else."

But last summer was just horrible. His background choir sang incredibly well and was set louder than Jon himself. Most people knew why... Sometimes it's better to know when you have to let go..."
