This album is so damn close to perfection it's fucked up. I liked the experience the first time I listened to it, but nothing really stuck out too much for me. "Spec Bebop" was a little excessive and pointless but the rest of the album was full of gorgeous indie rock that made the long run-time worth it.
This is a very pretty album from front to back. I guess its only shortcomings is that its quite long, and the first half is significantly better then the last half. Even with that said though, this is a very artistic, well written, well produced collection of songs
I haven't heard a single song from this album before I listened to it just now, but it still manages to sound so nostalgic.
I thought "The Jitters" was a little goofy but literally every other track was amazing
I was not expecting to like this album as much as I did. The mixture of 80s punk and Power Pop is super fun and keeps the project interesting troughout its runtime, and every single song is well made and passionate. Not every song is groundbreaking, but some are. Like the song "Androgynous" which is one of my favourites. It's really cool to see such an openly pro-LGBT song in an album from 1984.

I don't know why, but I was almost expecting this album to sound like the Stone Roses debut. It absolutely does not. However, It's definitely not bad at all.
