I grew up listening to SOAD, namely their last two albums, but somehow I missed this absolute powerhouse and everything on it. This album oozes so much character and angst and ambition it's nearly unbelievable. I fucking love this thing, absolutely insane. Truly the pyscho album to end all psycho albums.

I cannot for the life of me understand how this could be considered System's weakest outing. For me it's everything I want a System album to be, bombastic, bizarre, heartfelt, beautiful, and just a tad psychotic at times. Contains the most buttery, catchy choruses in all of their discography too so that's a bonus.

Even if it's supposedly their worst it's still more than worth the listen and it may just even be my favourite of theirs.

This album is so nostalgic for me, and sure i may not love it as much as 15yo me did, but it'll always have a special place in my heart for sure
