Drake - Push Ups
88

Pretty damn good I won't lie. Not on the same level of a Back to Back or even a Duppy in my opinion but it rips. If people don't get to responding Drake will walk away with the W here.

Taylor Swift - folklore
84

One of the better Taylor albums for sure. You would have to be doing some pretty serious mental gymnastics to overtly hate this.

PLUMMCORP RECORDS - Dracula Flow 3

I.... Guess this is music if it's on spotify.... Why do I think this is a good idea to do this for my 700th again?

They must have amnesia they forgot that I'm him. This shit ain't nothing to me man! I listened to this sober after hearing it handfuls of times and while I was in stiches the entire time I just felt I was missing something. So I packed a nice bowl of some dung beetle and symbiotes and got to work. Now, I'm moving different.

What may seem like an off the cuff joke is actually a ... read more

Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake
81

You know what maybe my initial reaction to Pink Tape was a little over-blown, given this thing is also an hour plus....

Thankfully, this album still holds up decently for the most part and certainly has a very strong starting run. I don't come to a Lil Uzi Vert album for insane lyrical content. Just for the high energy and usually production that is a bit off the beaten path. This project delivers just that.

I'm not quite sure the equally long deluxe was entirely necessary though.

Young Thug - Beautiful Thugger Girls
66

I might have a friend who took some bad mushroom and had to listen to this to feel better. That friend was me.

My favorite thing about Young Thug, when it comes to the music, is that he really doesn't give a fuck what is acceptable when it comes to his music.

Wear a dress on the cover ✔️
Make an acoustic album about beautiful thugger girls ✔️
Not show up to his own video shoots ✔️

Beautiful.

tracey brakes - bass bitch
72

Not that bad!

This song gives me some throwbacks to earlier 2010's dubstep/brostep especially the commercial king himself Skrillex. Everything here is certainly over the top but I think it stays restrained enough to not dip into the cringe lol random territory many in this style go for.

Kesha - Animal
53

Yup, I've found it... This is my guilty pleasure music. I feel guilty because of who produced it.

Ultimately this project is a giant mixed back with a horrible sense of pacing that has not aged greatly with time. However, I generally like some of the songs here so fuck all that shit it's a bop!

Big Baller B - genre : bradboy

That album cover feels personal.

مشروع ليلى [Mashrou' Leila] - إبن الليل [Ibn El Leil]
73

Presenting lyrics packed full of content of struggle and conflict over indie pop/electro pop instrumentation is definitely a challenging feat to accomplish, but I do think this project delivers in that respect. This type of sound is typically a bit hit or miss for me with moments of almost empty drum loops wearing on me a bit. Where I do find this style of music exceeding though; is when there are extra elements in the mix giving you something to gravitate to. Songs like Icarus, Tayf, and ... read more

Frank Ocean - Dear April
88

A little more complete than Cayendo but I still prefer Cayendo.

Frank Ocean - In My Room
86

Younger me probably would have just given this a 100 without questioning anything, but as much as I love this song it is incomplete as shit.

Frank Ocean - DHL
68

I like the first half a lot but the second half drags on a bit longer than needed.

Frank Ocean - Moon River
83

"I mean it's alright" -That one guy who likes cupcakes

Frank Ocean - Lens
84

underrated frank song [2]

Frank Ocean - Provider
83

This song never provided me with quite the same feeling as other Frankie songs.

Frank Ocean - Biking

You are almost there buddy!

Point off because I have given Frank too many 100's and he needs a 99. Fight me.

Frank Ocean - Blonde

I had a feeling this is where this one was gonna end up. Welcome to the club buddy.

I really love this record and honestly cannot tell you how many times I have listened to this start to finish. Whether listening on the record player, in the car, or with headphones this thing has me full of energy in the first half but after Nights everything tips into a much more sentimental and tear-jerking territory. White Ferrari, Seigfried, and Godspeed are usually the ones to get me every time. It is ... read more

Frank Ocean - Endless (Remastered)
89

Finally listened to Endless after only listening to Slide on Me for years...

This album was a very different experience that I was expecting but something I still really enjoyed. It was really hard to consider what to give these tracks when it came to scores due to everything really sounding fine as a package but some of the shorter sections to be a bit annoying on their own. Luckily my overall score ended up pretty much reflecting my feelings with this album, with it being the lightest in ... read more

Frank Ocean - channel ORANGE

This album is just about as good as I remember it being as a kid.

Still holds up to this day with my hottest take probably being that I don't LOVE Super Rich Kids. I know don't shoot me. It's a good song I just don't look forward to it nearly as much as Pyramids, Pink Matter, or Forest Gump. What I think puts this just slightly over Nostalgia for me is it this lacks the heavy presence of cover songs and therefor I have nothing to compare it to making it stand out as its own unique experience.

"100% agree that this album needs its time to really grow on you! I actually enjoy Dryland and The Fish Song quite a bit, but can certainly understand some of the apprehension to fully getting lost within those tracks. I think I may need to spin back on the album yet again and re-evaluate my scores since I didn't give Where Did You Go a 100 and it is one of the most memorable tracks off the album for me. Great review!"
