Joeyy - Coat I Would Buy
90

I might not gravitate to cloud rap usually but I sure fuck with this.

Joeyy - From
85

Shit goes barely as hell!

bl4ck m4rket c4rt - Today I Laid Down
90

Such a heartbreaking story with this project. Be happy that the art exists and can be appreciated. That's all you can do.

Bladee - Icedancer
56

It's cool.

Yeah idk, I have tried getting into Bladee many times and I still don't get it. Production is super wavy. Vocals are one note. Drainers please educate me further because I am lost on this one.

Wiz Khalifa - Decisions
53

Long are the times of Kush and OJ. Some of the instrumentals here are cool and Wiz can still flow well. I just got exactly what I expected I was going to get with this one.

Colon Cancer - The Last Chief Keefian
20

Yeah I probably should have listened to this in a private season.

underscores - Wallsocket
90

What feels like a reunion with an old friend. If that friend were the concept of the internet and meme culture,

Edit 12/8/2023 76 -> 90: Yeah idk what was going on when I first reviewed this. My statement stands but I was just not getting some of these songs. That being said, this album takes time to grow on you and all things considered it is a really abrasive experience that may not be for everyone and that is okay.

ericdoa - dancinwithsomebawdy

Been a little M.I.A. for a while and time to clear some of the backlog. This thing is a fucking BOP and belongs paired with skate 3 gameplay.

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD I
90

shoutout big quonka [2]

edit 02/27/2024 85 -> 90: bumped cuz mixtape drop

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD II
86

Remi Gaillard looking for his royalties on the video for I MAKE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS, watch out Quonka!

edit 02/27/2024 76 -> 86: bumped cuz mixtape drop

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD III
93

Quonka delivers some really solid scrap works. I never would have imagined years ago being interested in Quadeca's music. I need to listen to that man's album already.

Edit 02/27/2024 92 -> 93: Bumped cuz full mixtape

Like fellow user ADJ pointed out it really is hard to put a finger on exactly where this project falls. Definitely a lot of glitchcore inspiration throughout with a more lofi vibe. Honestly the music sounds like what the album cover looks like. I quite enjoyed this a lot and while there are technically different tracks the whole project just feels like one continual experience. If you got 20 minutes to kill give it a listen.

Kumo 99 - HeadPlate
74

This artist made music that was featured on an apple commercial and that's pretty cool. So is this album! First half is heavier and more upbeat with the second half mellowing out a bit.

Jokes aside I enjoyed this a lot.

¥$ - VULTURES

What happens when separating the art from the artist doesn't work anymore and you have to start separating the art from the art.

+10 for Ty Dolla $ign

Shygirl & Cosha - thicc
83

It's giving Hpnotiq.

Lantlôs - Melting Sun
63

Blackgaze go Brrrr.

This thing is incredibly atmospheric. At first the vocals put me off but the more I listened the more I warmed up to them. Nothing here that really blew me out of the water and outside of track 5 nothing that really upset me either.

ericdoa - things with wings
88

Through use of hyper-pop, industrial, and tradition pop elements ericdoa delivers a concise experience with unique production and vocal delivery. Looking past some of the slightly pretentious themes this project shows great promise for future projects from the artist and remains and enjoyable listen with many high points. The track listing here comes off long initially but the average track length on this project is just a little bit over the 2 minute mark meaning the good tracks don't overstay ... read more

"100% agree that this album needs its time to really grow on you! I actually enjoy Dryland and The Fish Song quite a bit, but can certainly understand some of the apprehension to fully getting lost within those tracks. I think I may need to spin back on the album yet again and re-evaluate my scores since I didn't give Where Did You Go a 100 and it is one of the most memorable tracks off the album for me. Great review!"

"What a nice milestone to hit, and a perfect album to revisit for the big 1000! I am definitely super happy to have come across your profile while spending my time on this website and watching your taste reveal itself has really been a fun experience. "Not at all! I am looking forward to it as well whether it is good or not. I just am happy to see some variation on Camila's end. The only thing that does leave me desiring more is that given the territory she is taking her sound, I would like to see more collaboration or appreciation for the curators of that sound."
