When it comes to PVRIS this is as prefect as it gets. With the perfect balance of alt rock and synth pop influences this project feels very complete with every track adding to the general feel of the record. Lynn's vocal are of course wonderful throughout the record. Lastly, the pacing on this record is tremendous starting strong, slowing down a bit toward the back end, but still ending on a high note with Let Them In. For me, the standout PVRIS record.
Key of C: Crazy and wild prelud to the Gecs.
I'll Make You Miss Me All the Time: Midwest emo down to a tee.
Walking Through the Park: An interlude.
7/11: Futuristic as hell, the drop is fantastic.
What I Made 4 U: Alvin and the Chipmunks doing work.
Of Course I Still Love You: Bassline is super groovy, very indifferent otherwise.
An album that I enjoy a lot but find a hard time loving it. When it comes to Emo Rap especially from that initial sound cloud era this one stands out among the rest.
“I look at the computer, the computer say Fat Money said ‘fuck TI fuck Nelly fuck Lil Tecca’, I’m like what he say fuck me for?”

This project excels at being catchy and captivating. Sadly it lacks in the uniqueness department. A lot of the tracks on this project sound very similar detracting from the decent ones and making the lacking songs really stand out.
Sorry this thing sucks. It can be summed up in the line "he will never fuck you like I did." That is how I felt for listening to this. Fucked.
Doctor doctor help me! My face has melted and falling onto the floor!
Give this thing a few more years and it will be considered a classic not just for hyperpop but pop music in general. While listening to this for my first time I kept getting throwbacks to when Lady Gaga first had started releasing music and how different it felt from everything else I was hearing from pop. Dorian's vocal delivery really sells everything for me on a majority of the tracks here taking their voice all over the place while still enunciating every word so damn well. The bass on the ... read more
Edit 11/09/2024 69 -> 57: Lowkey this album kind of sucks.... Like really sucks. Listen to Feel It again.
It was sweet but a little salty.
I may have had this review ghostwritten.
This is the language of my people. When you speak to me please speak in such.
Really though, this thing is a fun listen. When Scatman John gets into his pockets it is hard not to have a smile on your face.
The layers of pseudo-irony on this are immense.
Also fun fact, you can play this backwards like DAMN. I mean you don't have to, but you can.
Slowly dipping my feet in the waters of darker metals and will say that black metal typically does turn me off pretty quickly but this was very accessible and easy to listen to. There are plenty of acoustic guitar sections to soften some of the heavier instrumentation and the vocals are not too abrasive. This will likely be a record I revisit with more exposure to see if I find more enjoyment in it.

I legitimately forgot this record existed. It's a tad above average but very aged.
