As others have said before me, same stunning Billie just with a more mature coat of paint.
This year is just serving up anything I could possibly ask for. Sitting patiently for that album.
This song keeps coming up on my damn shuffle after I play anything pop on Spotify. Fine I'll fucking rate the song already. I ain't the biggest fan of Sabrina, but she certainly eats on this song. Others have said it already, but yeah it sounds a bit like Say So/Kiss Me More bag Doja Cat. I like those songs though, so why wouldn't I also love this.
Lyriks was definitely cooking with the reference to "Killshot" by Magdalena Bay.
TV reminds me of the disruptive and scattered thoughts that take place during panic. Despite the very soft and controlled delivery I can feel the anxiety in the singing and lyrics very clearly. Then The 30th comes along and just shatters your heart into pieces. Great little collection of songs. Would love to see Billie play with this acoustic sound more.
Yeah this thing is certainly terrible, don't know what compelled me to listen after the first track. Probably the diss instrumentals. It does have a similar appeal to Mokey's Show cartoons on Youtube though.
I almost feel bad saying this because I liked some of the older Suicide Silence stuff, but this project really just sounds like a whole lot of nothing. I wish I had more to say, but I really don't. Most of my listening was just waiting for each song to transition into the next.
I think the repulsion for this album is entirely justified. I knew myself to never be the biggest Green Day fan, so I avoided this album like the plague, but finally decided to listen to it. This is not how you reinvent your sound, you are not The Beach Boys. The damage from listening to this project has made me thoroughly consider re-listening to Dookie again.
The more I read over the lyrics in I Was a Teenage Teenage I question what the point of the song even is. What does being a teenage ... read more
I 1000% unapologetically enjoyed my listen to this project, and I absolutely don't give a fuck if y'all don't like it. Yeah there are a handful of songs that lag more than the others, and I totally understand if this is just a non-starter for you, but to pretend it is the worst thing in existence is kind of boner-pilled. As a "straight white male" I sure got down when Sexyy said, "Lick-lick between my ass, suck on my clit, beat-beat that coochie up like you mat at me, shit." ... read more
"My house like a museum, so I see em when I'm peeing."
This deluxe addition is actually somehow better than a majority of the actual album.

Remember when we could easily call this the weakest Kanye project? Yeah I would love to go back to those times too....
This project is full of a natural charisma and swagger consistent with other output from the artist Felukah. There are moments where the mixing could be a little better with instrumentals feeling a bit buried, but the general vibe of the record remains infectious. This album is for the girlies who put lavender in their joints. Probably a nice album to pair with a morning cup of coffee.

3.5 grams of marijuana, 2 Benadryl pills, one perc 30, a ten strip of LSD, one shroom, and four Advil is what you will need to get in the zone for this one. Or you can just be quirked out from being criminally online for your developing years. The choice is yours, but the commitment is worth it.
Getting into Snow Strippers feels a bit like being stuck in a disassociated spiral that you don't want to exit.
Given that this is mostly just rough instrumentals I was really shocked by how much I enjoyed it. There are certainly elements here that wear on you a bit, but Joji's ability to convey emotion so well through music is truly impeccable. I think my biggest complaint is that some of these instrumentals are so damn good, it almost feels criminal not having someone rap over them.

We return to Snow Strippers again for another round of intoxicating, hard as fuck, and smothering electroclash.
With further listening I expect the score for this album to go up, but I think that is just my specific territory with this group. They warm on you over time and that I can appreciate. This record again hits hard with the influence of hardstyle throughout the record which for me is only a positive. This in combination with all the criminal online elements added throughout lead to an ... read more
Edit 12/10/2024 85 -> 91: Not much to be said other than this record took a little time to grow with me, but turned out to be one of my favorites from the year. I still do think the album loses a bit of steam towards the end, but the first half of this record + L'amour De Ma Vie are incredible.
Hit Me Hard And Soft is simultaneously a return to form for Billie, while also feeling like a departure in a new sonic direction.

Honestly, no clue how I even found out that this song exists.... it's awful, and awfully racist.
Short and to the point. The almost 8-bit aesthetic was very charming at first, but has lessened with further listens to this EP.
Another great project from Snow Strippers. Really didn't expect to fall into this group as hard as I did. This album does have a much longer runtime than their EP's, but if anything it shows their consistency being engaging for the whole runtime.
