This is more than likely one of your dad's top 10 albums of all time.
With that being said, it certainly isn't one of mine. Title track is of course a classic and the rest of an album follows a very similar formula to that track to varying degrees of enjoyment. Most tracks here are on the slower side, excluding Life in the Fast Lane and Victim of Love, which is honestly where I prefer this project sonically. The more honky-tonk moments on the previously mentioned tracks honestly were the only ... read more

Joining in on the bandwagon to start working my way through the Apple music top 100. Starting with Robyn's Body Talk, we have an album that I honestly expected to enjoy a little more than I did. This thing given the time of it's release is quite revolutionary for sure, and this record has certainly gone on to inspire many artists I hold dearly today such as Carly Rae Jepson or Charli XCX.
The main thing that detracts from my enjoyment after two listens ... read more
Honestly some of the more interesting pop punk I have heard in a while. When initially hearing the combination of synths, grindy blast beats, and cutsie lyrics I was certainly thrown. However, I let it sink in a little and found myself enjoying this even more upon a further listen. The first five tracks here are really interesting and high energy, but I do find there to be a slight fall of come track six. I feel the second half is a step down vocally, lyrically, and Return to the Sky ... read more
And with all the good, there must be a bad. By far the worst of these compilation CD's. The Jump 5 track is kind of warming up on me though....

The most consistent of the Mighty Music CD's being consistently average. Shoutout Max Keeble's Big Move though.

CHAOS NOW* manages to be a chaotic listen despite having some super soft moments bordering folk music at many points on this record. This is most highly noted on the track Bad Fruit* which has a feature from Earl Sweatshirt providing a vocal delivery I would never expect in a million years. This is one of the best atmosphere building moments on the record right next to POSITIVE ONE NEGATIVE ONE*, HUH*, and SICK OF IT*. There is also one super interesting thing I noted on the previously ... read more
No...... just no.....
Okay, jokes aside this project didn't actually go as bad for me as I was expecting. I will preface this with the fact that I am not the biggest fan of Bring Me The Horizon. However, after hearing some of their newer tracks and where they have decided to take their sound I wanted to give them another chance. This project has a combination of some really great high points, but also some abysmally terrible low points.
Starting off strong, this project has a really great ... read more
🔥 Late night vibes set 🔥
This project is super sleepy and intoxicating, having me rocking side to side the entire time in some sort of trance. Nothing overly complex here just interesting deliveries and tones over pretty funky instrumentals.

This sort of territory I usually find to be over saturated with gags, however this project has a more reserved approach to brostep and focuses more on the actual music here. I cannot make magic happen and start loving this genre, but I can at least appreciate this to a certain degree. That being said, Over My Head is an absolute banger. Thanks for the recommendation Doksys!

At it's best it is some fun and decently done remixes to classic trap beats. However, "fuck with your boy like a pedophile" is quite a terrible line. It hasn't aged terribly, it was terrible to begin with.
I started my skincare routine with a mixture of Proactive and Neutrogena treatments with little to no success. I would later go visit a dermatologist and be prescribed combinations of antibiotics, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide. These worked temporarily, but were never a permanent fix. Eventually, it was time to pull out the big guns and start a treatment with Accutane. Very spooky stuff. You can look up all the side effects, and I even had to take blood tests to take the stuff. Ended up ... read more
I shit I piss I fart. Most importantly. I don't listen to this song and no do you.
No I don't think this is good, but I still fucking like it. Eat my ass.
I can defend a lot of this for being angsty butt munch music up until Not the American Average where a once favorite turns into a stinky aged gallon of milk. The electronic sections on this album certainly detract from it more than anything else, and can be best noticed in the interlude Hiatus where you are really forced to face that fact. Overall, from my earlier core days there are certainly worst.... but there are also ... read more
Nice catchy rhythm to it, and I honestly like the vocal tone. There are just elements to this track that give me very clear visions of a certain similar artist. Distinct enough to not be unenjoyable though.
Another discover weekly sneak addition to liked songs and completely forgotten about track. Hunnygloss is an artist with what seems to still be a rather slim discography cons stenting mostly only of singles. With that being said, this is a nice bit of electro-pop or dare I say HyPeRpOp that really throws me back to some of the stuff Hikaru Utada was doing for the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, or really anything that Hannah Diamond has put out.
Right out the gate this record starts off at a high velocity and slowly lowers the speed throughout the remainder of the record. There are still plenty of moments of pure technical impressiveness and straight out shredding to keep things entertaining. Gave this record one spin and let it go for a second without really questioning it. Really great for a forefront or background listen, either will prove worthwhile.

First of all, what a way to start off a career!
Secondly, I am really glad that I actually didn't start checking out FKA twigs at the time of her releasing her first works, because my teenage brain certainly would not have been developed enough to enjoy their music. My favorite moments on this short EP would have to be the stuttering delivery in Ache or the slow down progression at the end of Hide, despite me not fully enjoying that song as much as the others up till that point.
FKA Twigs incorporates a lot of similar sounds from her previous project "MAGDALENE," however this times decides to lean more into commercial R&B/pop territory with many inclusions of Afro, Dancehall, and even UK Hip-hop. As mentioned previously, this album includes many more cuts that are clearly meant for radio play including tears in the club and papi bones. With that being said though, that does not prevent the album from having much more intimate moments like the tracks which ... read more
