doing this shit and just having a cig in between like it’s nothing
beth gibbons what a woman
while keeping me entertained through the twists and turns of Björk’s seemingly endless creativity and ambition, ‘Post’ didn’t seem to leave nearly as much of a mark on me as ‘Vespertine’ did, both emotionally and sonically. In this chaos, i think maybe this album lost its cohesion somewhere. i enjoyed every song - but none bar ‘Enjoy’ really took me anywhere particularly special
I'm not sure why this album has such a low score compared to some of their earlier stuff.
'War' is up there with the groups best work, but dips in quality does mean that 'Ultra Mono' falls short of what IDLES is capable of.
some bits also do feel a little "guys guys have i mentioned i hate the tory government" (not that i dissagree with him) and it just makes it sound a tiiny bit forced and ingenuine, which i know it isn't, but that is sometimes how it comes off.
not sure why the sun needs to bat her, seems a little harsh to me but at least the music is good
in an equally beautiful and touching album as usual, Low Roar find that sound that demands an emptional response. soothing and yet hauntingly personal, 'Once in a Long, Long While...' is a crackling fire on a miserable winters night, giving light, warmth and support in a dark place.
nick drake but jazzy??? yeah man
it’s by no means ‘Pink Moon’, but it’s not trying to be
really solid stuff here
didn’t know there was a genre called Lounge but yeah that sounds about right
it’s nice, noting mind blowing, but it’s nice
yooo they did the glory box sample before portishead wtf
really cool trip-hop stuff, some tribal sound elements, super spacey, hiphop influence, bits of soul too and plenty of grit all over
my abstract/industrial/experimental hip-hop pookies Dälek cannot do any wrong🥰🥰🥰
seriously though nobody does it like Dälek, their atmosphere building, their cold, moody and grimy sounds, and their on-point and fitting rapping performances make for an unnerving yet captivating experience.
i did not care for ‘Marquee Moon’.

somebody find me a bad Daniel Rossen song, i dare you.
the more of his music i listen to, the more i believe he’s physically incapable of being involved in a piece of music that isn’t high quality.
beautiful, tranquil, soothing folk once again.
i stumbled across this funny looking album while searching for CDs at a local charity shop, and i just felt drawn to it, plus for a mere £0.49 it simply had to be done. The art reminded me of Grandaddy, so i checked out the genre tags here, now here i am, typing this out while listening to ‘Sao Paulo’, the near 12 minute closer to this beautiful album before going to study for my exams next week. The cover reminded me of Grandaddy - and yet i may just prefer this album to any ... read more
