Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia manages to stay fresh and interesting through almost every track, my favorites being the singles that were released (Don’t Start Now and Physical), however I also really liked Pretty Please. I wasn’t crazy about the last few songs starting at Love Again. They were decent but didn’t feel at par with the rest of the album. Boys Will Be Boys is actually a good closer though and I found it pretty funny too.

Tried multiple times with this album but it just doesn't click. What's funny is I fucking LOVE Get Got. Easily a 10/10 track for me, but in almost every other track Stefan's vocals throw me off, to the point where it's almost unbearable. Ironically, I find the production completely bearable and dope as shit. I've Seen Footage + Hacker also kind of save this album for me.

Radiohead's most beautiful and grand album. Alright maybe not as GRAND as Kid A, but I can definitively say that In Rainbows is my personal favorite album from the group - and I have a hard time pinpointing exactly why. Probably because of the tremendous replay value that each song holds for me. If there were a dull moment on this album, it would have to be Faust Arp. Even then, calling it a "dull moment" seems harsh.

I first listened to Kid A almost 4 years ago, and it was my first time listening to a Radiohead album front to back. It was also the first time my jaw dropped in complete awe and amazement while listening to music (specifically on the second to last song, Motion Picture Soundtrack). I had found plenty of amazing music before that moment, but I had never had that moment of realization where I thought to myself, "Holy shit, this is really really special"

I will remember We Are Sent Here By History as my first jazz experience. I’m around jazz a good amount. My dad listens to it all the time and it’s deeply rooted on that side of my family. Jazz has always been this genre that I didn’t know a whole lot about, but a genre that I could totally see myself getting into in my later years. I never would’ve thought my journey would begin at the age of 20.

What amazes me the most about jazz is the creation process. The aspect of ... read more

Wow this album was a nice surprise. The lead singer is really good, and her vocals are filled with emotion, whether it’s anger, sadness, boredom, freedom, and everything in between. That, along with her very effective use of repetition, makes it impossible for you to not feel something with her. Ngl the closer, Homecoming Song, left me teary-eyed. A beautiful rollercoaster with an epic and chaotic ending
Fav tracks: Sweet, Long, Pop Song, Give/Take.

This is a very solid album. It contains some of the best lyricism I've heard this year so far. I think Jay-Z is featured on every song, but it works because THEY work. The Blinding is absolutely DISGUSTING from start to finish. Shiny Suit Theory is another 10/10 track with incredible word play from both of the Jays.
Though unlike the vast majority of you, I had never heard of Jay Electronica before today - and if I'm being honest, this release would've probably been a lot more underwhelming if ... read more

I’d like to start by saying i’ve never really been a huge Lil Uzi fan in the past. The “Uzi sound” never really appealed to me, and the sub par lyrics didn’t help. This album however feels like a definite improvement - in the energy that he brings AND his word choice. It’s not a huge improvement lyrically but it’s noticeable and serves more as a component that makes everything else in the album click. I also really appreciate Uzi trying new sounds. ... read more

Lil Keed’s voice is interesting... but that’s about it. There’s really nothing here for you to see.

A part of me was hoping we’d see some new and improved version of lil baby. In case you were wondering, we don’t. The first song was a step in the right direction but it became immediately apparent by the second track with gunna that this album is just a big compilation of thoughtless trap bangers. I really like lil baby in general, and watching him come up with gunna was awesome. Gunna was like my second most listened to rapper in 2019. But lil baby’s biggest flaw is his ... read more

I would’ve liked this album more than Born to Die and it’s companion EP, Paradise if it weren’t for the last 3 songs on this album. Why Lana. Why did you just NEED to make the deluxe version. The standard version of Ultraviolence is an 84 for me.
I prefer this melancholy sound over her previous work. It feels like it fits better with her cutting and destructive lyrics - which still hit most of the time with about the same consistency as before. I could’ve gone without ... read more

Holy shit I enjoyed Paradise so much more than I thought. LDR's vocals are stunning. I couldn't decide if I thought Gods & Monsters was corny or good at first and I've decided that it's actually amazing. You've got your classic Lana bangers (i.e Ride) and then beautiful ballads like Blue Velvet. The song Bel Air almost completely ruined the project for me because I thought she said "Lead me to war with your brilliant erection" - it's direction we're chillin..
fav song: Yayo

I had heard almost all the songs on Born To Die previously, but it wasn't until now that I listened to them all in the correct order and I must say that I'm very surprised at how well it all connects. The placement of each of the songs as well as the themes contained within them just make sense. It's an essential album in her journey to establish her signature sound that we all know today. The only shortcoming in Born to Die is that it feels messy at times. It's like she's trying a little too ... read more

"10th birthday - got a puppy. now i'm in the park with the middle class yobs tryna get lucky" FUEGO. Aside from the great lyrics, the instrumentation on this album is amazing.. especially from their guitarist who I feel is a leading force on this album. There are times when there's so much going on at once but the strings make sure that the songs don't ever completely lose form. REALLY good sounding stuff from these guys. Looking forward to discovering more from them

A friend introduced me to Grimes around 6 months ago by showing me Art Angels which I really enjoyed for the most part, though it was the soundscapes that Grimes created in Visions that really blew me away. Because of this, I highly anticipated Miss Anthropocene. Having gone through Miss Anthropocene a few times now, this albums is really, really good.
Upon first listen, the standouts were the more energetic and bass heavy tracks like Violence, 4ÆM, and We Appreciate Power. Other than ... read more

I’ve finally found the “U LIKE MY DIAMONDS AND MY PEARLS” song. This album is a blast. I was skeptical at first because 15 songs in a runtime under 15 minutes can be a red flag for me, but Tierra Whack manages to pack so much content and character into these snippets. And that’s really what they are - snippets. Each song gives you just a taste of what she’s capable of. It’ll be interesting see if Tierra Whack can focus this creativity on a more specific ... read more

I have never had an album grow on me the way that titanic rising has. it wasn’t until like my 4th/5th listen where i really came to appreciate it as much as i do now. this album sounds like an ancient masterpiece that aliens are showing us unworthy humans. no but seriously the vocals on this project are overwhelmingly beautiful at times, and the perfect blend of raw instruments and electronic/synthy production compliment her voice amazingly.
If you don’t like this album on your ... read more
