This was... surprisingly good? Nowhere near as bad as people are making it out to be at least.
It’s Kodak, so of course he’s gonna sound slurred because he’s off the lean and who knows what lol. But if anything that gives me more of an incentive to listen to him. Let me make this clear, I’m not encouraging the abuse of drugs - but Kodak has a refreshingly unique flow that separates him from other “normal” sounding rappers that try their hardest to sound ... read more
King Von just has this flow that makes me stank face and bob from left to right
This is the definition of feel-good music. I felt like I was being bombarded with compliments and positive messages. An inspiring album for anybody, and an essential album for the black community.
Honestly not a terrible emo-rap album - a genre that is growing on me slowly. His lyrics are thoughtful, and his emotions are sincere. I'd say that's the biggest thing this album has going for it. Although that's not a lot, it's still a very relatable and enjoyable album for the most part. If you like Lil Peep's music, check this out. Better and hammer were great!
Migos USED be a group that I hated during their mixtape era. I think mostly because I felt like I was bandwagoning some commercialized rap sensation, I honestly probably am!! BUT, I realized that I actually really enjoy listening to the trio. I started liking them when Culture 1 was released. Sadly, Culture 2 feels like a major downgrade - partly due to the amounts of filler. Some of them have grown on me (I like Narcos, BBO, Walk it Talk it, and Motorsport) but I feel like they still ... read more
This is undeniably a masterful piece of art. What you get with this album is the definition of an epic - a genius musical journey/adventure of instrumentation and ambience that once you start, it’s impossible to stop until you’ve listened to each and every minute. And I must add, I’ve never felt an hour and a half go by so quickly. The crescendos are jaw dropping, tear bringing, pant shitting compositions that make use of auditory illusions like the always ascending shepard ... read more
Felt like I was sitting around a campfire with dreamville. It was good but not what I expected/hoped for.
A somewhat underwhelming release especially considering what we now know Beach House is capable of. Some good subtle tunes for half the album, but for the other half I was shleep
I really can’t tell if I like this more than 1999. Still the same Joey on some gritty ass beats that we heard in his first mixtape; however this doesn’t sound as consistent. That being said I feel like highs in this LP are a bit higher, and there’s maybe just a bit more musical variation in the his beat selection which I enjoy. This was also my first introduction to Joey, with Paper Trail$ and Christ Conscious being in constant rotation since release.
You gotta appreciate metal that’s mixed this well. Underneath is an incredibly brutal yet gripping album, but more than anything it just sounds really good. The glitchy cuts throughout the songs were sick. It could’ve been the official soundtrack for DOOM. The lyrics were good too - sometimes having someone see you for who you truly are is one of the important things you can ask of them. If they find that what’s underneath is ugly or can’t come to terms with it, fuck ... read more
"THIS SHIT IS NOT OK" and "HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT" are a couple of reoccurring thoughts that I had throughout græ. This was a reminder of why I like listening to albums - they show an artist's true creative vision and if done correctly, it will feel like a journey. Moses Sumney certainly nails that because this is a real experience for me.
EDIT: Pt 2 of the album just hit and I'm actually speechless. wtf have i just witnessed.
Listen to this while doing homework guaranteed good grade, especially math. Jokes aside this might be my favorite deadmau5 project. That might change though, I don’t think I’ve heard much of his newer stuff. I kinda stopped paying attention to him around 2015. But in 2010 when this came out I was only in middle school and I don’t think I had heard anything as cool as Skrillex and Deadmau5. This album will always hold a special place in my heaRHFJS i cringed.

For lack of a better album to listen to while playing Hearthstone.
Essential Deadmau5 tracks from For Lack Of A Better Name: Ghosts N Stuff + Moar Ghosts, Strobe, Hi Friend! is also a banger
Sometimes things get repetitive...
But you wanna try to listen to this in an environment where that won't be much of a problem. Essential Deadmau5 tracks from 'Random Album Title' include I Remember, Faxing Berlin, and Arguru
I was going to just say that Maxo Kream is one of the most criminally underrated rappers and just leave it at that but it seems that the general public thinks he's pretty good so we chillin lol. I still don't think he's gotten the recognition he deserves.
Incredible. The whole range of emotions here. I love how after the first track makes you feel uneasy and chaotic and you might think we’ll be getting a sound similar to OK Computer, but the album evens out and there is an underlying beauty to each track. Radiohead is one of a kind in their ability to do this and its one of the main reasons I love them so much.
