I’ve always thought Katy Perry had some incredible pop songs, but her albums were always hit or miss for me. Even with the singles leading up to this, I thought the title track was fantastic, but wasn’t as impressed with the others, even though they were decent. So going into this, I was hopeful, but very cautiously so. And while this is a good album, it’s another missed opportunity for a great album.
Smile has some really great moments, but overall it feels too safe. The ... read more
As someone who makes beats, I’ve enjoyed watching Internet Money’s come up from YouTube tutorials to a label album. I was hoping this would be really good, and while there are good songs on here, overall this is incredibly hit or miss and too long.
The features and the quality from song to song is really inconsistent. And while the production is good, it’s pretty generic and Internet Money has had better production in the past. B4 The Storm is a decent record, just pretty ... read more
Damn I wish I could travel back in time to 5 minutes ago before I knew this existed
I had to give my first ever 0 and first single review to this piece of garbage.
We got homophobic, transphobic, and anti-abortion shit in one track with a shitty beat, a horrible hook that is trying way too hard to sound like Eminem, and shitty rapping. I’ve always thought Tom Macdonald was just a clown, but this is a whole new level.
Conservative rap is ass
I had never heard of Tkay Maidza before this, but the great reviews intrigued me. And I’m very glad I decided to check this out.
Last Year Was Weird, Vol 2 is an extremely solid project. The amount of different styles and genres that are explored on here is incredibly impressive and the production is really good overall. Some songs don’t hit like others, but overall this is a great project that has me excited for whatever she does next.

Obviously, Nas is a legend. Illmatic is one of my favorite albums of all time, but Nas’s discography has been a very inconsistent one. And after coming off of two very underwhelming projects, I was hoping for something solid. And while there are still some issues, it’s safe to say this is Nas’s best project recently.
This project does have some really solid verses and performances from Nas. The production is also pretty good overall, even if it’s maybe not the best ... read more
I’ve seen glimpses of potential in NLE Choppa, but I wasn’t expecting this album to be solid, especially with the number of tracks. And while I don’t love it, I definitely enjoy it more than I thought I would.
Top Shotta is a pretty decent trap record. It’s not as enjoyable as it could be, but the potential is definitely there for NLE Choppa. The production is pretty good and has a little more personality than most trap records in this lane. I honestly like the more ... read more
I really enjoyed Lil Keed’s last project. I thought he had interesting production and a really unique vocal approach, even if it’s obviously Young Thug inspired. He brought catchy flows and hooks and also had good features. I was hoping his next project would continue to solidify his status, and I think it does.
Trapped On Cleveland 3 is a little long, and probably could lose a few songs, but it’s exactly what I enjoy about Lil Keed. The production is catchy and interesting, ... read more
I was very excited for this album. The singles were really good, but I’ve never been in love with an Aminé album and was hoping this would be the one. And while I don’t love it, it’s still really good.
While not as cohesive as it could have been, Limbo is an enjoyable and impressive project with good production, great features, and fun performances from Aminé. There are some duds, but the highlights on here are so impressive that it makes up for it.

Dominic Fike is an artist I’ve been really excited about. His potential was clear, and I was hoping that he could come out with a full length project that capitalized on it. Unfortunately, while this album is not bad, it’s not what I was hoping for.
This rollout for this was not great and I see why. Many songs sound unfinished or half baked, and some just sound really bland. There are also some mixing issues across the album. Nevertheless, there are a lot of good things about this ... read more
Edit 2: This is my second favorite album of all time. Someday I will write a new review.
Edit: This has grown on me tremendously. So good. Original score: 8
I had heard of Phoebe Bridgers, but hadn’t listened to her music until this album. And I’m glad I did.
Punisher is a great album. The production is great, and so is the songwriting. The lyrics are really personal and sad, and her voice fits this album perfectly. Not everything hits the same emotionally, and there are some ... read more
I had never heard of Flo Milli until the other day, but it seemed like every famous person was posting about her on Twitter. I decided to listen, and I hoping for something good. And while it’s not as good as it could be, it’s still an solid project.
The production is pretty simple, but it’s effective when combined with her flows. The mixes aren’t as good as they could be, but it doesn’t really take away from the enjoyment.
And while her flows and lyrics could ... read more
I first heard of Pink Sweat$ when I saw him perform at a festival, and I thought he had a lot of potential. And while I’m not thrilled that he released ANOTHER EP instead of his album, I can say that the music on here is very solid and promising. It’s definitely catchy and has a good vibe. There are some weaker songs, but it’s still a pretty decent EP while waiting for his album.

Fuck Love isn’t a great album, but it’s not a bad one either. There is definite potential shown here, but the production is pretty generic and so is the songwriting. His voice can also be annoying at times and the lyrics are incredibly cringey. With that being said, he has a talent for crafting catchy hooks and flows. His Juice WRLD & Post Malone influence is worn on his sleeve throughout the project, which is sometimes a good and bad thing. If he develops his sound and becomes ... read more
I’ve never been as excited for a Taylor Swift album as I was for this. The surprise release and the collaborators had me very intrigued. And while I did enjoy Lover and 1989, and many of her popular singles, this is just on another level than anything I’d ever heard from her.
This surprise album rollout and the quarantine period has allowed for Taylor Swift to completely ditch the mainstream pop music and lean into her artistry that she showed flashes of on previous records. This ... read more
I’ve really wanted to like Logic’s last few releases, but they’ve been terrible. The production was bad, his verses were boring, and he came off as unlikeable. And while this isn’t perfect, it is 100% light years ahead of his last few releases.
I think No Pressure is up there with his best albums. The production is great, and it sounds like Logic actually put effort into the music this time. It still has many cringe inducing lines, and not every song hits, but ... read more
Is there some massive inside joke that I’m not aware of? I hate being that person but wow I don’t get this.
I’m sorry but this just doesn’t click with me. I consider myself to be somebody who can like anything, but I just don’t like this. Is this what Carti sounds like to old heads? I really like the production, but that’s about it. I want to like this sooooo bad but I just can’t. I’m hoping this eventually clicks but I keep trying and keep ... read more
I’ve been waiting for new Joey music for a while, and this is great. This is a really solid collection of songs with great production and verses from Joey. The mumble rap line was corny, but other than that, this had me incredibly excited for his next project.

Ever since seeing Oliver Tree perform live at a festival, I’ve been obsessed. The rollout of this album was unfortunate, and it’s sucks that half of it had already been released, but I was excited to hear it as a full album. And he didn’t disappoint.
It’s not as good as it could have been, but it’s still an incredibly enjoyable album. The production masterfully blends many styles and genres, and Oliver Tree is able to craft some great songs. Yes, I had already ... read more
Kyle isn’t the most interesting artist, but I’ve always appreciated the more joyful approach that he has taken with his projects. The production and guest features are normally good too. However, this album and it’s rollout seemed a little rushed, which led me to be worried. And while it’s not his best, it’s still a decent album with some nice production and performances from Kyle. It is a little bland, and he definitely wears some obvious influences on his sleeve, ... read more
