One of my old favorites returns, sounding rejuvenated and tighter than ever.
Favorites: Doors I Painted Shut, Low Tide, Laura & The Beehive, Old Friends Like Lost Teeth, You're the Reason I Don't Want the World To End, Wyatt's Song, Oldest Daughter, Paris of Nowhere
Least Favorites: Summer Clothes, Songs About Death
It's a good record but far from his best. Sonically, it's right up there with his last 2 records (I Don't Like Shit and Some Rap Songs), but this time around the flows are a little less interesting and Earl ends up needing help from the features on the two best songs of the album.
Favorites: Tabula Rosa, Old Friend, Vision
Least Favorites: Sick!, Fire In The Hole
Hey Big Man is the loudest pop song ever. Torture Me is a bit more low-key but still feels fun. Runaway sounds like ... read more

My old review of this was really weird.. not a fan
But yeah this album is insane and only becomes more enjoyable the more time passes. Reminds me of a groovier Regional Justice Center. Two amazing bands.
OK, now THIS is EPIC.
Favorites: Battery, Master of Puppets, Disposable Heroes, Damage Inc.
This was my favorite Metallica album for a very long time. Not sure if it still is, as Master of Puppets may have taken its place in my adulthood, but I do know that this album still goes hard all the way through and has some of my all time favorite metal songs on it.
Favorites: Blackened, And Justice For All, Dyers Eve, One
Least Favorites (but still very good): Eye of the Beholder, Harvester of Sorrow
It's fine I guess.
Favorites: Hardwired, Spit Out The Bone, Am I Savage?, Here Comes Revenge
Least Favorites: Now That We're Dead, Atlas Rise
Was not expecting this, just as good as some of the better tracks on Hardwired
END's side of this split is utterly amazing and contains some of the band's best work yet; between the primal outraged assault of "Eden Will Drown" and the industrial masterpiece "The Host Will Decay", the first half offers a surprising amount of variety that was missing from the otherwise extraordinary 'Splinters from an Ever Changing Face' full length released in 2020.
On the other end of things, we have Cult Leader. Ever since catching them live with Dillinger and Car ... read more
His vocals sounds pretty good in some parts and the bridge is cool, but overall I'm not feeling this one.
81.36 / Great / B+
Certainly not Patton's best work by any stretch, but there are a lot of great ideas throughout this record - with most of the collaborations panning out wonderfully.
Favorites: Your Neighborhood Spaceman, Mojo, Five Seconds, Sucker, We're Not Alone
Least Favorites: Getaway
Although not by much, this is still the best SZNZ project so far - featuring the highest highs the band has attained since OK Human.
Favorites: Run Raven Run, Francesca, Can't Dance Don't Ask Me, Get Off On The Pain
Least Favorites: What Happens After You, Should She Stay or Should She Go
Definitely an improvement over the original single, the two new songs on this EP really provide a much-needed sense of urgency and diversity to an already promising project. The only real issue this time around - everything sounds like it's been compressed just a little bit more than what seems necessary. Still, as someone who makes similar music myself, this record does everything it is trying to do - from industrial rock to ambient to breakcore - and does most of these things pretty ... read more
