FAVORITE TRACK: My Name is Dark
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Darkseid
This album fell off so hard for me. I feel like there's so many fillers and even on the good tracks, they're not entertain all the way through. My Name is Dark and We Appreciate Power still bang though. And the buildup for Violence and 4 ÆM are great as well. The rest of this album feels like a trial to get through.

So I really enjoyed Gupi's full length project but I wasn't a fan of any of Fraxiom's solo stuff. Although I knew the duo worked great on This Moser, I was nervous to go into this project because I honestly haven't found myself liking any of Fraxiom's music.
This, though, makes me regret publishing my year end list and never hearing it. It's so good. This is the first hyperpop project I've ever heard that clicked immediately. I didn't ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: Bleached Peacocks
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: JUMP ON THE URINAL AND STAND ON YOUR HEAD
This is a weird little avant-garde rock piece. I like the experimental nature of tracks like Bleached Peacocks and NRG Pieces. Sometimes it feels this EP gets lost in the weirdness and can't figure out what it wants to be.
FAVORITE TRACK: Lien
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Arrears
I don't see the appeal of like casually listening to rave music so maybe I'm just not in the right setting but I don't enjoy this. It's well-made but I would never imagine listening to this anywhere but a rave.
FAVORITE TRACK: L.O.V.E. Me
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: I Wish
Hayley Kiyoko's vocals carry this entire EP. She's the best part of this as, without her, these would be five boring pop songs. Kiyoko brings life to She and sells the lyrics even though they're not the best. Demons is catchy with a good dance beat and L.O.V.E. Me is catchy and sexy. I Wish is just really repetitive and annoying.
FAVORITE TRACK: No Hard Feelings
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Artificial Love
Some Mediocre Songs is a collection of dreamy ambient music. It's not bad- I just know ambient music isn't my thing. Phonebox's production is lush and lonely and creates a somewhat empty and lonesome feeling on tracks like Disarray and Don't Leave Me Now. No Hard Feelings is like a weird build up and creation that uses the atmospheric sounds to create a track less lonely and depressing but still weird.

FAVORITE TRACK: DRUNKEN MASTER
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: none
Catchy beats, good flow, smart lyrics. This is really short for an EP but every song is catchy and smart.
FAVORITE TRACK: handle me
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: disappear
all my boyfriends is five innocent pop tracks. All the songs cover love and they don't really push any boundaries sound-wise. solve sphere's vocals carry the whole project but it would all work so much better together if there was a more lively and fun instrumental on these tracks. handle me and glow are really the only two tracks with a more lively instrumental but glow doesn't really showcase silver sphere's voice that well.
FAVORITE TRACK: The Vibes
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Nightingale
Paris I is a laidback mix of indie rock and folk country. This EP is chill and airy with great vocals. I prefer the male singer on this over the female singer. Asc. Scorpio is cute and catchy. Most of All is catchy and laidback. The Vibes is fun. High Moon and Honest Moon are pretty and airy track, though they sound like TOPS songs.
Maybe not the most original EP, Paris I achieves in being a relaxing and light project.
FAVORITE TRACK: Keep It Moving
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Let U Know
So Aidan Ochre is an artist I've been on the lookout for for about two years now. In the past, he's made pretty catchy bedroom pop so I was excited to see something new from him and something a little longer.
Is This Love, Keep It Moving and Slow Down are really groovy and catchy. The good guitar playing on Let U Know is really good. The vocals on Ever Changes is very laid-back with chill instrumentals.
Overall, Ochre is a ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: Cotton Candy
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Santé
Oatmilk is a short pop EP that mixes French and English together over bedroom music. Calvarie is a really good French song with a great great beat. Cotton Candy is cute and dreamy. Name is catchy and fun.
It's obvious a lot of these songs are made with the intent to be used for tiktok but I really don't care- they're well-made, cute and pretty.
FAVORITE TRACK: Honesty
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: I've Never Found One Like You
The acoustic ballads as on his last EP, Davis John Patton sings the same one-note songs with a pretty decent singing voice and pretty instrumental. This time, though, the vocals are stunning. Although this all sounds like safe folk music like Phillip Phillips, Patton's vocals on tracks like What Have You Done to Me and Ecclesiastes are great. The instrumentals and lyrics for Honesty and I'm Not an Island When I'm ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: Foolish Games
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Red
A little longwinded at times, A Private Road is a pretty dream/synth pop record. Groves' vocals are incredible and the witchy and dreamy synth on Foolish Games sounds incredible paired with it. Infinite Wisdom has the best vocals from Groves on the whole EP and the dance-to beat really helps with that. The instrumental of Sunset is very chill and wonderful. Every song on this project feels like it's a minute too long, though.
FAVORITE TRACK: July
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: I Got So High That I Saw Jesus
Damn.... this is so fucking boring LMAO. There's literally no soul in this at all it's so hollow and empty. The vocals are alright, though, which is the only thing this EP has going for it. Young & Sad, July and Ghost are completely saved by Cyrus' vocals because the lyrics and instrumentals are so lifeless and stale.
FAVORITE TRACK: Vivid
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: So She Goes
This is such Jules-core music it's insane. I feel so seen by this
FAVORITE TRACK: Kimset
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Bratz Doll
Although very messy at times, XIX's 19 is full of bangers. Kimset is one of the hardest song I've heard this year and it sounds great in this EP. Nokia Barz is intense and fast. Sick Duck has witty lyrics and spy? has a great use of a sample to create a really catchy song. BOSOZOKU is filled with anger and has a great beat too. Bratz Doll feels the most out of place because it's like a happy hyperpop song while every other song is so ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: that way
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: stupid
Tate McRae sounds very inspired by Billie Eilish. The vocals are probably the worst thing about this. They sound terrible on stupid and just ok on the rest of the tracks. They probably sound their best on happy face and that way. These songs are just generic pop ballads. Nothing special but they're not terrible.
FAVORITE TRACK: SHE
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: With Myself
I really liked Winona Oak's last EP, Closure. This, however, is kind of boring
The song SHE is creepy and weird and pretty catchy. The Light is dramatic and beautiful with the best vocals on the whole EP. Piano in the Sky and With Myself are boring and forgettable and filler tracks.
