guys seriously... where the FUCK IS Mario Judah ???
FAVORITE TRACK: Wildfire
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Galaxy
I don't really see the hype in this.
The vocals for this are fine. The coffee-shop instrumental aspect on Playlist is pretty. Wildfire is catchy and the best Taeyeon sounds on the entire EP and the beat of To the moon is great. It's not really anything special at least to me but I see the calming appeal it has.
FAVORITE TRACK: Overkill
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Falling Asleep At The Wheel
A very beautiful and somber EP. Although the influences of Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Angel Olsen are very apparent at times, Holly Humberstone has enough soul and vocal talent to carry this entire project. The tracks on this are lonely and beautiful matched with breathtaking instrumentals that elevate the sound of Humberstone's voice.

No you don't get it. I'M OBSESSED.
In a year dominated by 80s disco-pop revival, LAUREL is giving some of the big artists of the genre a run for their money. Petrol Bloom is so fun with amazing vocals and instrumentals that are filled with happiness, love and sound confident and fun. LAUREL has an incredible voice. The dreamy and synth sound of Scream Drive Faster is amazing. Sometimes is bittersweet with an incredible groovy ... read more

Yung Baby Tate's EP is kinda messy. It's not the worst rap I've heard, or even close to it, it's just radio-bound pop rap. This EP has really good production but does cover Yung Baby Tate at times since she can hide behind it on tracks like Lesson Learned. It's also very clear there's a big SZA influence on this with Lesson Learned, Bounce and Baecation sounding synonymous to SZA's voice. YBT can't find her sound on this so keeps ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: Day 7.5093
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: none
I was a big fan of Nilüfer Yanya's last album. The instrumentals of Crash are great- the roaring and loud guitar is a great contrast to Yanya's light vocals. Same Damn Luck has amazing vocals. Day 7.5093 has this great baseline and this incredible, cheery chorus. Overall, this EP/single pack is short but all these songs pack a punch and are so catchy and good and are some of Yanya's best work to date.
FAVORITE TRACK: Skate Depot
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: i can't go outside (intro)
I thought this was pretty good!! This is a groovy EP with a lot of soul and well-made. Of all the quarantine-based projects I've heard this year, this is one of the better ones. Skate Depot is funky and fun. The features on this are great- both Tyler and Tinashe bring something to this EP. unfinished business and 2000 chevy malibu both have a great beat. It's a pretty fun and short listen that I recommend.

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: How come
I don't know how to review EDM music so bare with me on this.
How Can I is a catchy and well-made house EP. It's short and catchy with good vocals. Like this is catchy with light and pretty vocals over a earworm, atmospheric house beat. Can you has a great beat. Park Hye Jin's vocals on NO create this creepy, witchy song with an intense house beat. How Can I is a pretty song and Beautiful has this advanced and pretty synth beat. ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: BODYGAURD!
Ok I only listened to like two of these songs as singles and I think that made the whole project more enjoyable.
JPEGMAFIA is a really cool artist. I don't think anyone is doing it quite like him- his style and sound is very unique. Peggy can combine almost any kind of sound with his voice and rap style and create something amazing most of the time. Peggy's lyrics are always witty and fun and very honest and that doesn't chagne ... read more

Saw a friend listening to this on Spotify and knew I had to check it out. If you don't know, Anwar Hadid is the brother of Gigi & Bella Hadid and boyfriend of Dua Lipa. I had no clue Anwar Hadid was more than a model so I was curious to check this out. And guys.... you have to listen to this.
BLEACH is a pop-rock record but also not as it mixes r&b and rap and metal. And they're all mixed terribly. ... read more

Lianne La Havas' self-titled is a personal and sometimes sexy journey of self-discovery.
All the ballads on this are performed intimately with very little instrumentals and really focuses on the power of La Havas' voice and writing. Tracks with a noticeable instrumental help elevate the song and La Havas' vocals- like the witchy sounds of Courage. Some songs build to thunderous ends like Weird Fishes, Paper ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Songs of Yore
I listened to my first We Are Only Human Once album last night and honestly I couldn't get enough of it so here I am reviewing the second 2020 release by them. Although I prefer the more emo and rock sound of Misanthrope, Withering is a beautiful record. This album is personal and covers topics of gender confusion and body image in a way that's so intimate and makes you really feel like you're not going through it alone. The ... read more

Another lofi album almost slipping me by.... not on my watch, bitch.
Although they wear their influences on their sleeve, We Are Only Human Once's latest release is a beautifully intimate lofi, emo album. The instrumentals of Do You Know Her? are noisy yet pretty and endearing the way only some indie acts can pull off. The unique instrumentals of that track and All For You really help this album stand out. The emo-like vocals on ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Weed in LA
Easily one of the best storytelling/concept album of the year. I recommend listening to this at least once because it's so interesting.
Little Dominiques Nosebleed is intense, witty and experimental. The songwriting on this is great and shows a vast range of emotions. The third verse of Little Dominiques Nosebleed Part 1 is so intense. Koreatown Oddity is quick-witted and funny and Ginkabiloba is nostalgic. The end of Attention ... read more

This album cover haunts me. Like truly it follows me everywhere. So giving this a listen maybe it will stop appearing everywhere in my life.
I find it very impressive when an artist can cause fear. I feel fear is an emotion music rarely causes so when it does, it's something special. До Свидания is terrifying. This album is dark and the vocals are creepy. But the difference between an act like IC3PEAK and clipping. ... read more
Just finished listening, currently lost for words man, crying real tears carti bro, this is quite possible, quite literally, sincerely, the worst possible music I have ever heard. My ears are dripping with blood, currently on my way to the emergency room on Christmas Day. Thanks.

OK EVERYONE SHUT UP.
I've made it very clear in the past that Modern Baseball is probably my favorite band ever. Slaughter Beach is a band I always lump in when I think about Modern Baseball since the band is almost a sister act- half of the original band making up the indie-rock act. I knew SBD was probably gonna put something out before the end of the year. But a whole record? When I got the notification for this on bandcamp, ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Life Goes On
So according to friends from school who live on the west coast, Bryce Vine is supposed to be the NBT. As a dumb east coaster, I thought I would get ahead of the curve this time and give this a listen. I haven't been a fan of Bryce Vine's music before hearing this EP and afterwards my opinion hasn't changed much.
I find Bryce Vine's music really boring. Problems and Fireside feel like tracks that are just good for background noise. ... read more
