"The light of my life is going out tonight without a flicker of regret."
We Will Always Love You is a wonderful, experimental storytelling album. The storyline of this album is spectacular and immersive and one you only get from truly talented people. The story of love and loss is brought to life with some fantastic production on this. Ghost Story and Song For Barbara Payton are sad and lonely but hopeful. The ... read more

I get recommended this album a lot and I've really enjoyed the few tracks I've heard off it but this is my first time listening all the way through.
Soak is an homage to pop culture. It's an homage to television and movies and video games as every song has a reference to one of the topics mentioned and an homage to loud and fast-paced emo rock. The guitar on this rips as is the most entrancing part of every song. The riff on My ... read more

I have a confession.
I have never listened to Avenade.
It's a Whimsical Afterlife has been on my list of albums to listen to for God knows how long and I haven't gotten around to it so I knew I couldn't let this album slip by me this year. I needed to know what Avenade made that was so breathtaking.
This album is a complete experimental descent. Into madness, into sadness, into anger- but it's a trip the whole way down. Mister ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: Thanks for John
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: None !!
Gwuak!'s EP is a pretty clean pop-punk project. It sounds really polished with not the best singing but the vocals are saved by some incredible and lively instrumental. The guitar on tracks like Fried Rice Picnic, Thanks for John and Mt Fortress are fast-paced and fun. Oh Snap! has great transitions and Insperado has a great build-up.
Really the main flaw on this is Gwuak!'s vocals since they are just pretty generic for pop-punk. ... read more

Before this year ends, I knew this was a record I couldn't let slip by me. Solely because of the emo tag and the great reviews, I knew I needed to hear this regardless of liking it or not.
Melee has incredible vocals. Kawasaki Backflip and Headfirst have some of the best vocals I've heard this year. The screaming, agony-filled vocals are great and create the atmosphere of this album as a really lively and fun emo record. Bueno ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: none !!!
Freckle Season is really good. This EP seems like a bunch of things that shouldn't pair but they match perfectly on every tack. It's not the most experimental project ever but it's a great mix of rock and pop and indie to make a cute, personal and sometimes badass relationship-ending EP.
Did It to Myself starts with this personal, pop- almost country- sound to it with great lyrics but once the harmonies kick in it becomes a ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: About Your Imaginary Friend
When I see the midwest emo genre tag, I floor it !!!! And when I see they're from Long Island, I floor it some more !!!!!!
This album rocks. Oolong rocks. The guitar leading in from About Your Imaginary Friend to Welcome to Destiny Island is insane. The riff on those tracks are crazy good and match with the vocals that are pretty tame for an emo album. The quietness when it comes to vocals for the first minute ... read more

You Wouldn't Download A Car are remixes by Left At London of a bunch of popular songs. From Lady Gaga to Death Grips to Taylor Swift to Kanye, L@L covers a lot of ground here. I'm not a big remix person- I never go out of my way to listen to remixes so I was a little surprised to see that this is all it was. But this mixtape is fun. The remix of Just Dance by Lady Gaga is so fun and the synthy, happy beat is so good. Honestly, I ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: Do You See Us?
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Choke
Do You See Us? goes so hard and FOR WHAT.
Tracks like 6 Feet and My Friends Are Kinda Strange feel a little amateur- the vocals not complimenting the beat at all which is a shame because separately both of those aspects are good. I feel this is a common problem on this for Left At London- Safety First and T-Shirt suffer a similar fate of a good beat and good vocals but bad together. But, unlike 6 Feet, Safety First and T-Shirt have ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Oh, Maker
Left At Lodon has been on my radar for God knows how long but this is my first time listening to a full project by her.
This One's For The Milfs is a synth-coated, romantic album in all different directions. It feels as if Left At London took a blanket of romance and grabbed all four corners and stretched it to get four completely different songs with a central theme. Pony is sexy. I Love You is lonely and romantic. Street Lights ... read more

1999 is a somewhat surprise release from Rich Brian. I loved The Sailor and I didn't mind Rich Brian's debut so I was kinda excited to hear this.
This EP feels like Rich Brian just free styling even though it isn't a freestyle. The lyrics stay in tact with past Rich Brian work (sex, his age, etc.) and they're not very interesting, it kind of just seems Brian sticks to his usual formula. But the beats on this.... this could be ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: Do What I Want
LEAST LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Stinker
This album confused me a lot because it was and continues to get rave reviews from critics but not one person I know had heard of this record. Which is weird because this is the genre of music I usually follow closely so when a release is doing this good, it's usually hard to miss it. So I decided to go into this completely blind only knowing that critics loved this thing.
High Risk Behavior is a punk record and the first ... read more

I'm back haiiii.
If I'm being total honest- this is my first time listening to a full Kid Cudi project. I know the big songs, I liked KIDS SEE GHOSTS but this is the first time I've taken the time to sit and listen to a full, solo Cudi project. And why did I start with the third part of the trilogy? .... Fuck you, that's why.
The biggest flaw with Man on The Moon III is the way every song blends together. Even the songs I ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: evermore
folklore is the beginning of the bimbofiction evolution and evermore is the end of it.
FAVORITE TRACK: the 1
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: mirrorball
I don't really understand the importance of this one- I think it's just here because of the live version of betty. The live version is fine but the beauty comes from tracks like cardigan and invisible string. The lyrics of the last great american dynasty and the vocals of the 1 stay superior.
FAVORITE TRACK: betty
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: seven
Finally... the happy chapter.
I love this one. It's descriptive and upbeat and beautiful. The atmosphere of this beach lakehouse scene Swift paints is incredible on the last great American dynasty and august. The vocals are sweet and chirpy on august and the 1. seven and peace feel a little out of place since they are a lot slower than the other tracks but just as dipped in a hopeless romantic aura as the rest of the tracks.
and betty's a ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: this is me trying
This chapter is the most emotional of all. Every song on this chapter has the best lyrics, all of these having the best writing from Swift ever. The vocals on exile and mod woman are incredible while the instrumentals on my tears ricochet and illicit affairs are quiet and atmospheric are beautiful.
FAVORITE TRACK: the lakes
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: epiphany
So I think what Taylor Swift did with these EPS are really smart. She split up folklore into these chapter, bitesized pieces of her music to tell different stories. Now I've already reviewed two versions of folklore so for these EPs I'm keeping it short.
This is my least favorite chapter because epiphany and mirrorball just happen to be maybe the only two tracks on all of folklore I don't like. And I don't think they sound any better ... read more

So I’ve been a big fan of Jazmin Bean for awhile now. I love Bean’s style of having this really intense sound and this somewhat scary experience mixed with this cutsey, lolita look. Maybe a lot of the attraction for Bean’s music comes from their image but when the original Worlwide Torture EP (which all the songs on that are included on here) came out, I loved it.
The Worlwide Torture revamp is really ... read more
