Short and sweet little project. Doesn't do anything groundbreaking but its easily digestible.

Not normally the biggest fan of Harry fraud prod but he doesn't do too bad here. Not super impressive but there's stuff worth coming back to here

It's rare that I see an album in which all 3 artists seem to phone in their performances, but somehow thats exactly how this album feels. I had extremely high hopes for this with how much I've enjoyed much of both Earl and Mike's past releases, even looking back just last year to Live Laugh Love, but those exepctations were not even close to being met. Unfortunately had big shoes to fill coming off a fantastic 4 album run, and it just doesn't quite live up to that level. Decent record, but not amazing.

The start of Stevie's golden era. Far from my favorite Stevie album but there's undeniable great tracks here

God I cannot stand to listen to another rage album. I hate this genre, I hate every album in this genre, I hate every rage artist, I hate that these guys have a following, I hate that they're influencing modern hip hop as much as they are, I hate everything about it. If I have to put myself through the torture of listening to another rage project, I am actually going to give myself a lobotomy

"I'm genuinely curious as to why you think he's rapping about nothing here. I do find Cole's writing to be rather on the nose quite often, but I feel like he took a more mature approach on this album comparatively to much of his prior work. Also, why the negative perspective on him rapping about his own experiences? That's a common feature of a majority of so-called conscious hip hop, not like its something new, unless that in it of itself is the reason you dislike it. Great review nontheless though, even if I personally disagree."

"@Ableist_abby honestly that explains my thoughts perfectly. West Coast hip hop artists, atleast the mainstream ones, were never able to really evolve their sound and it just leads to all their projects sounding so dull compared to other regions. Especially so considering how washed lyrically a lot of them are now, like with Cube here. Luckily there's some amazing underground or underapreciated west coast artists that still keep that side of the genre alive, atleast aside from some of the more modern big names like Kendrick or Tyler. In their cases though they've obviously completely evolved passed the typical west Coast sound."
