Its a pity I waited so long to properly listen to this. Its quite a beautiful album with some nice, yet sombre song-writing. Mac was a talent.
My Sweet Lord is one of the emotionally impactful songs I've ever heard. Its so personal to George, but somehow so relatable to anyone, no matter your religious or spiritual leanings.
The rest of the album too, is absolutely stellar. I love George's song-writing - here and on his Beatles songs. He really has such a knack for making catchy hooks and fun, yet deep songs.
Dam this is actually really good I had no idea. I really really have just been a Coldplay hater for so long, because, well they sort of have sucked for a while... right? Clearly once upon a time they wrote catchy, deep interesting songs. The song writing here is exceptional - each song has a strong hook. Especially in the first half of the track list.
The Cure finding their feet with this one. Quite punk-y, which is fun and energetic - the songs have a lot more pace than a lot of their later albums. Song-writing is a bit lackluster with a lot of similar sounding tracks on here but overall I think its pretty fun and catchy
