very cool! such a shame it is for a movie that is inevitably going to be terrible
'Nice Day' reminds me of mbv's 'sometimes' but it just doesn't go anywhere which is such a shame because sometimes is one of my favourite songs of all time
Will need a few relistens to properly appreciate the songwriting on this one, but one of my favourite Bob albums instrumentally
will benefit from repeat listens. the last 6 minutes or so, from when that guitar comes in, was my favourite part
Outrageous. The best a guitar has ever sounded (along with Marquee Moon, Heaven or Las Vegas, and Loveless)
You HAVE to listen to this with decent headphones- the way the music slides from one ear to the other is other worldly
Really dips in quality from Act Naturally to Tell Me What You See but otherwise this is so fantastic- take those out and it would be approaching the high 80s. Favourites: I Need You, Help!, Yesterday
So underrated, fell in love with this one as soon as I heard it all those years ago- pretty incredible songwriting effort for one of George's first songs
was about to rate this 87 but then that end of when the levee breaks hit...
Agree with one of the top reviews- the production on this is great and I think the suit the (slightly) more downtempo sound but the songs just aren't as memorable or catchy. Maybe its a grower but this is a step down from their 80s work. My favourites: Being Boring, So Hard
First listen 12/11/2025. My least favourite Roxy Music album.... but it's still such a fun time

A perfect mix of their early jangle sounds, the noise of monster, and the magic of Out of Time and Automatic... E-Bow and Electrolite are the clear highlights of the album and on the right day I'd be quite happy to ... read more
One of the most beautiful songs of all time- exists on the edge of pure bliss and indescribable sadness. Perhaps a little cliche, but it makes me nostalgic for a time and place that I have never been to and can't really place.
