Pure creative pop bliss! Australian pop singer Nicole returns with experimental, sugary and, at times dreamy EP full of bangers!
Packed full of gorgeous melodies and strong/experimental productions, Nicole takes listeners into a new direction with confidence.
Love how she adds her own flair into the more trappy songs like "4U" and "I should probably go to therapy" which keeps those songs from being just your 'average' trap-pop songs.
All tracks on the project are strong ... read more
If she only added "One Bullet", this would've felt like a much more necessary and satisfying re-issue but currently, as is, it's really missing that something.
Love "Last Summer" and "Morning" but I feel like as if the latter is lacking in extra synth notes in the chorus which could potentially elevate the song to new heights.
The 4 other remixes...well err "Ruin My Life (Orchestral Version)" is very good BUT the rest of the remixes were very ... read more
One of my most highly anticipated albums of the year, hoping it would sound sonically similar to the beautiful "deja vu".
Unfortunately this falls straight out flat. Olivia has no personal identity whatsoever. Every song on here either sounds like an extremely watered down version of Paramore, Taylor Swift or Lorde.
And her voice? Well it makes it slightly unbearable. That cursive singing is truly grating and her trying to imitate Lorde in some songs, makes it even worse.
Lyrical ... read more
Thank god Lana stopped working with Jack. Not that I hate his productions or anything as he did help put out "Venice Bitch" amongst others, but his predictable production was getting monotonous.
Anyways, the song's vocals reminds me of my favourite era which was Born To Die/Paradise, especially during the song's outro. I haven't heard her using this 'youthful' and raspy voice in a long time and I really miss it.
The song ties with "Blue Banister" as the best of the bunch. ... read more
Look what we have a here. A comeback that completely blows Aespa's comeback out of the water? YES!
Rocket Punch return with a retro punch of sugary and infectious tunes, paired with expensive and clean-cut productions.
The charming title track will definitely be one of the best of the year (may I say even the best so far?) especially with it's spectacular mastering and mixing.
The 2nd track here is also strong, showcasing a more R&B side of Rocket Punch. Both are A tier K-pop songs.

Aespa's future is looking dull...
This is an extremely disjointed and messy song the very first time I heard it. It's like a mish-mash remix of random songs put together.
It has some good parts like the R&B moments in here which showcase their vocals, however the majority of the song is like a cheap, watered down version of "Black Mamba".
You could say it's garbage sure but you have to praise SM for taking them out of their comfort zone with this experimental beat and song ... read more
Edit: This shit really grew on me and hit me like a truck a few days ago...
I mean the album was below my expectations if I'm being honest but nevertheless, the album served some nice bops. I was really missing Bebe's music these days.
I really miss her 2015 (I Don't Wanna Grow Up) days where she effortlessly put out some of my favourite pop tracks of all time (title track, Sweet Beginnings, Crazy & Drinking About You) but unfortunately, nothing on this album comes close.

Was really really excited for this but unfortunately this whole EP is just...not good. It's exactly the sound I wanted ITZY to avoid. If i wanted to listen to this sound, there are hundreds of K-pop boy groups out there with this overdone sound.
Every song here is a borefest and at times a little cringey. They are without a doubt bops, but they aren't catchy either and that makes it really hard for me to enjoy these songs. They're like a bunch of lifeless, soulless K-pop leftovers showcasing ... read more
Wow! Thank you so much Ariana for destroying this once perfect song! Kudos to you!
It started off really well and then the chorus hit...it's not bad but it's definitely not single material either.
Sounds like it has some trap influences which is cute but the song's chorus just falls flat.
The instrumental is good as always, but unfortunately it couldnt help elevate the song's bland and repetitive chorus.
The chorus reminds me of "Never Say Die" and "Forever" but unfortunately, "He Said She Said" isn't catchy or dreamy enough.

This album really grew on me. On first listen, every song sounded the same & Demi's voice got grating.
However after a few more listens, I got to really appreciate the album's cheerful vibe & catchy writing.
The biggest issue with the album is large amount of fillers, hence my score. The album could've easily been condensed into 13 tracks.
Tracks that shouldn't have made it: The Way You Don't..., What Other People Say, Mad World (cover was completely pointless), Butterfly & Good ... read more
Such an easy and rewarding listen from start to finish. Though Foxes plays it safe in every song, every song has memorable and enjoyable moments apart from 'Woman'.
I normally don't do this for reviews but this album has clear moments that deserve highlights:
Friend In The Corner - Bridge & Outro
Love Not Loving You - Bridge
Hollywood - Bridge & Last Chorus
Dance - Verses
Tracking rankings: FITC = Hollywood > LNLY > Kathleen > Dance >>> Courage >>> Woman
Extremely grating cursive vocals over otherwise a very fine and enjoyable instrumental and melody. If she stops it with that grate, I feel like this song could easily be very good.
Olivia we need your natural voice, not this ridiculousness. If her debut album has the same grating vocals through and through...let's just say someone won't be happy.
Could've been so much better. The beat was so on point thanks to the producer. Iggy's verses are...not good. Song was a huge letdown.
Raissa shows so much promise with this debut project. Every song on here is above average and she has a good ear for melodies.
I think she has really sculpted this distinctive sound in this EP. Extra experimentalism would have definitely sounded better on this EP, but nevertheless, Raissa offers enough tunes + atmospheric tracks to satisfy listeners.
Best tracks: Shades On, Go Fast Baby & Cold Feet
This album is RELENTLESS. With banger after banger after banger, Zara really said 'no ballads allowed'!
Every song on here sound like singles and every song here is either up tempo or mid tempo. Zara wanted to create a high quality cohesive album full of dance tracks and I think she did just that! Every verse and bridge in the album is top-tier and just give you a reason to keep and keep replaying the album.
She has finally found her sound however, I do think she needs to be a little more ... read more
There's way too much filler on this record. What's funny is that I feel that the pop songs on this record are the strongest and Ciara excels at this dreamy pop vibe. The urban tracks here are danceable and fun but that's about it. They're uninteresting and mundane.
Favourite tracks: "Tell Me What You Name Is", "I Don't Remember When", "Keep Dancin On Me", "Never Ever" & "Fit Of Love (is this song even supposed to be on the album? It sounds so ... read more
Ariana still one of the only female artists out there lacking in experimentation, creativity and for some reason, ALWAYS serving mediocrity. Absolutely nothing special here - she should have shelved this entire re-issue along with her boring album. And it sounds like she made the album + this reissue in a rush.
This album surpassed my expectations in every way possible. I expected this to have a gorgeous title track followed by album tracks of just fillers which is common for K-pop releases but this album fortunately has great B-sides.
All of Side D (the best side) is strong especially "Come N Goes" (my fave). Side C is filler. Nothing interesting about that side whatsoever. Side B is my 2nd favourite side thanks to its more R&B leaning sound and ear candy. Side A is my 3rd fave but ... read more
Probably the best EP of 2021, already?
"Scissorhands" was probably my favorite track of 2020. Everything about it was perfect. The chorus is full of manic bloodshed and the verses feature Maggie singing bittersweet/deathly lyrics in a soothing manner. Honestly what's not to like about this track? Listening to the instrumental layerings with headphones on is a BLISS!
5 tracks out of the 8 are really good: GASLIGHT, Knife Under My Pillow, Different, Loner, Scissorhands
