Again, an album with no risks whatsoever. All tracks are average unfortunately. There is no clear highlight.
The best songs on here are probably "Better","Tightrope", "Windowsill" & "Sweat" but they're only a little above average.
The reason why I didn't give the album any lower is because Zayn's vocal talent is always there in every album.
Edit: After revisiting this project, I have to say a lot of the songs grew on me and some are just so nostalgic sounding especially "Travelling Song" second verse
There are 4 great tracks on this project, however the rest of tracks dont match up to the same quality - not even close in fact. In some songs Ryn's voice does actually get quite annoying and it's a real quick turn-off - especially "Pierre" & the title track.
Best tracks: Octahate, Promises, Free, ... read more
Say what you want but I personally found this song very enjoyable. It sounds extremely fresh and the simple sing-along chorus, chill production and bridge really elevates this song.
It's her worst droplet by far but her recent droplets have been of insane quality but this one's great too - just not as strong as the other droplets.
Idk what y'all are hearing but I tried to like this song but unfortunately it falls flat. Her vocals are seriously annoying and sound super restrained and the song is boring from start to the bridge. The bridge is the best part of the song but it isn't that good either.
Overall a very boring and uninspired ballad done a million times before (with better vocals too because the vocals here are really really not good nor unique - to the point they sound irritating)
My first album review of 2021. This album is Ängie in her purest darkest form and I'm so far liking it. Ängie's vocals are hauntingly beautiful and the track's melodies are disturbingly delicious. The productions are heavily composed of grating synths and dark wave elements.
The intro track "Agnostic Dreams", "Psychosis" and "Sad Sex" are definitely my favorite tracks on this project.
Other good tracks: Dust & Namida
Grimes starts off the year by dropping a bunch of boring remixes of my 2020 AOTY. There was no point of making this, in fact the only redeemable tracks here are the original mixes and the first remix.
The other remixes are unlistenable and have no reason whatsoever in existing. I understand this remix album is for clubs but I definitely can't see people dancing to these mixes...especially when they ruin the original songs entirely.
A decent R&B album from Kelly. It does lack originality and experimental qualities but Kelly's vocals and choice of songs make up for that.
Not going to lie, the album was hard to get through at first because every song sounded the same but listening once more made me appreciate the melodies and production more.
There is no clear highlight or standout track on this album per say and no song really reaches highs compared to other R&B records, but all the songs here are decent to above ... read more
"Shape Of You" is probably the most migraine inducing song in the history of music, at least in my opinion.
If I know someone in real life who likes Ed Sheeran, well I'm definitely not going to be talking to you ever again.
If I had to choose between listening to this song for a whole year, yea I think I'd rather end myself.
I remember the first time I listened to and the only thing that came into my mind was pure hatred. I can't believe the GP LOVES this song Makes me basically ... read more
"I Took A Little Something" is an INSTANT ear worm track! A must listen for people into dreamy dance disco-pop.
Overall a very solid, catchy and inventive EP by Florrie. Surprised how ITALS wasn't a smash everywhere because it just has that IT factor and is so ahead of its time.
Gwen...what are you doing??? This is like one of the safest records of the year and I dont really like it. Tasteless, bland, generic radio fodder that won't even do well on charts cause it's that basic.
I had high expectations but unfortunately this was largely below my expectations.
I really hope this is just a buzz single to hype up the official lead single because...well...damn...anyways even though I despise this song, I will be bopping to this song occasionally because it's a bop and I ... read more
This reissue was well... unnecessary. It is a lovely treat for the fans yes, but she could've added so many more better tracks on the reissue than the ones we have here. And one of the tracks, Bees & Honey being this short is a crime. It's clear that the re-issue uses leftovers from Sawayama (thank god).
Lucid is generic and boring, We Out Here is like a Walmart XS, Bees & Honey is too short, Love It If We Made It is actually a decent cover and the remixes/acoustic versions of other ... read more
This is by far the most Vanilla album of the year. I thought after all these years, Shawn would FINALLY break out of his shell and experiment with new and exciting sounds and genres but instead, we get this lazy, monotonous, BORING and terrible generic piece of music.
Most tracks on here are filler and as much as I love Shawn, he is really started to get on my nerves with his medicority. Why make an album full of cliches when you can make an album full of surprises like "Why" (a ... read more
Omg it's sooo good! The production is like a synthpop/electropop lover's wet dream. Such a dreamy, beautiful and climatic song! The percussions in the chorus, the gorgeous autotune and synths in the chorus is just such a heavenly combo. Can't believe she left this, Mood Ring and Breathe Heavy out of the standard version of Glory...It would have elevated the album so much.
This song slaps SO HARD. Like Silver Sphere is honestly becoming one of my Top 50 favourite artists of all time.
The song is essentially a 100 gecs song that isn't as noisy and glitchy enough so it's made to be consumed by the masses.
Such a fun and cool track! Hoping Silver blows up next year. 🎉
A VERY sensual and calming collection of Christmas songs. What can I say? Sabrina just adds a mystical and magical aura to any track she touches. The instrumentals on here are lovely and her vulnerable vocals are out of this world. The new Christmas tracks are even more spectacular than the cover songs which is quite rare but Sabrina does it!
A must listen for Christmas enthusiasts who need a more chill vibe this season!

I feel like this album is decent but it was much below my expectations. There are a lot of duds on this record and the live covers of classics were not necessary on this album. However there are of course some highlights but the highlights aren't as strong as highlights on 'Bangerz'.
I also preferred the sadder or more mellow songs on this one than the energetic full on rock ones because Miley isn't experimental enough on those energizing tracks. In my opinion, her rock tracks were too generic ... read more
I don't know why but I honestly just can't enjoy this album the way you guys are enjoying it. I've listened to it in full FIVE times and still haven't connected to anything on the album yet.
The melodies are too monotonous for me to appreciate anything and Phoebe's vocal delivery is too emotionless.
I can totally understand the appeal tho. The lyrics are beautiful, the instrumentations and songs are mellow and soothing, but I just find it to be a very safe and boring record. I can't give ... read more
Tinashe puts a very chill and fresh R&B (but still faithful) spin on Christmas classics. Love how there aren't any saxophones or jazzy instrumentations here. Production along with vocals are very mellow and soothing.
Nothing experimental or that standoutdish but still a serviceable and enjoyable bunch of tracks that I would be listening to in December.
"The Christmas song" lowkey sounds creepy cause of its tone, out-of-tune piano, crackling fire (or applause noises? idk) and ... read more
As much as I love Megan, this album was NOT IT. Sure there are some highlights but there are SO MANY fillers on this record.
"Body" was cute at first but after playing it for the second time, it just got SO IRRITATING BODYYADAYADAYADAYADA.
Critique from SUGA applies here as well. Megan NEEDS to switch her style and sound up or she will get stale real fast...And about "Don't Rock Me To Sleep"...let's just pretend that song's chorus doesn't exist. :) BLAH BLAH BLAH

SHYGIRL is probably one of the only artists where I have keen interest in checking out their song lyrics. Not because they're deep or meaningful or whatever, but they're SO PLEASING and WEIRD.
I love to read out the lyrics of every song out aloud at a really fast pace and it's just so satisfying. Her writing is INSANE even though I do not understand what the hell she is exactly talking about in each song.
Every track on this experimental EP is strong and every track's production is phenomenal ... read more
