The weirdest out of all the Saturation albums, and also my least favorite .But this doesn't mean I dont love this album though. My main issue with it is that Matt Champion and Joba were still getting into their own when it comes to their verses, and to be honest their flows just aren't great and can slow songs down at times. Luckily they've gotten a lot better since this album. But this album is still fantastic, Kevin really shines on this album the most imo. This album trio cemented ... read more
Saturation 2, "the one with all the bops" (Anthony Fantano). This is my favorite album from the Saturation trilogy. I used to rate it a lot higher (9.3/10 when it came out), but I still really love this album. The hooks are an absolute improvement, there's less pop for the most part, there's more rapping. To focus on the rapping specifically, they're skills clearly got a lot better from Saturation 1. This is basically the closest Brockhampton has to a pure rap album which I really ... read more
When it comes to the Saturation trilogy I always underrate this album. When I think of it I always think it’s around a 7/10 or something like that but it’s actually an amazing album. There are definitely flaws here and there and it takes a couple listens to get into. Some of the choruses are a little lyrically corny or haven’t aged too well in the last year but they’re not too annoying for the most part, and they under utilize lots of members that would later be used in ... read more
If Within You Without You was not on this album it would be absolutely perfect
The absolute pinnacle of a 90's rap album. Only problem is that I dont find myself coming back to it.
My favorite Jay album. A little bloated but a true classic and an essential album.
Good job Em. This one is actually pretty decent. So much better than Revival. When it comes to new Eminem releases I gotta make a Pros and Cons list. Here it is: (sidenote this album cover is also dope asf)
Pros: Pretty good bars. Beats are pretty good. Flows have improved greatly since Revival. This is leaps and bounds better than revival. The album isn't as long and bloated as a lot of new Eminem releases. Joyner and Royce's features are pretty dope.
Neutral: Disses. some are cool but ... read more
I listened to this when it came out a year ago and i thought it was absolute garbage. Now when i listen to it i find it pretty enjoyable. i’m able to tolerate and actually somewhat enjoy the screaming and heavy bass. about a year ago i thought it was absolute ass. Even though i like it more now, it doesn’t change the fact that most of these songs sound unfinished. overall pretty enjoyable though,
Pretty enjoyable listen. I know a lot of people think it’s garbage but i kinda dig it. Tracks i’d come back to: Jocelyn Flores, Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares, Fuck Love (i actually love this song).
Fantastic and classic but lacks replay value imo. Raw score is somewhere around 94 - 96
decent trap album from Freddie. Piñata is one of my all time favorite albums so I hope this is just some fun throwaway tracks that Freddie made just to hold us over until Bandana comes out. If Bandana sounds like this imma be pissed.
Milky Way is Dreamville rapper Bas' third album. Of the three albums that he has released this is the most generic of the three. Bas had previously been labeled as a decent conscious rapper.. a J. Cole lite if you will. On this album he mostly throws that conscious label out the window and takes a more laid back approach to create a fun and vibey album. In my opinion, this wasn't a bad move. If Bas continues to just make chill fun rap music from now into the future I wouldn't be mad. I overall ... read more
I fucking love every song on this album. Except the Crunge. That shit is terrible.
This album is pretty amazing, this is Nirvana unchained. My only issue with this album is that it can get too abrasive, other than that I love it. The three tracks that I find get too abrasive are Scentless Apprentice, Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, and Tourette's. Other than those three I absolutely love every song.
