It's impossible for this to be an Ichiko Aoba album because the cover art isn't a single pastel color and there are too many instruments in the songs wtf

I don't know whether or not to give this album a 100, but it's CLOSE.
I was TWEAKING when I gave this a 79/100. This is, without a doubt, Yeule's best album. It's the best elements of SEROTONIN 2 with the darker lyricisms of SOFTSCARS, but unlike that album, the lyrics WORK. Yeule isn't saying this stuff just for the sake of it, but instead it carries SO MUCH weight. It doesn't feel pointless and edgy. Almost every line feels like deep-cutting ... read more
the sun still inhabits the blue sky, but there are clouds
all i see, despite the majesty of the sun, is the clouds
the fog is rolling in embracing all with its grasp
im alone, as much as i am not
it is over once again
who can calm the powerful storm that is perpetual within man's soul?
i cannot think of a proper solution

music that makes me want to live, that makes me feel more in love with the natural world
leaves, trees, streams, branches, fields
everything is soaked in sunlight
everything is beautiful
"Komorebi" is the Japanese word for the shimmering light and shadows that is created by leaves swaying in the wind

There's nothing but sunlight in a soft-glow, sweeping in the window, covering all it sees
tears of joy and peace. inspiration and joy unlike any other

When I think of any album going absolutely NUTS from the first to the last track, I usually don't think of an Everything Everything album, which is unfortunate, as their music goes exceptionally hard. But on the occasion of my revisiting to this album in particular, I realize that, if any modern band deserves to be THAT BAND, it's undoubtedly Everything Everything.
I just realized I haven't rated this album yet somehow so uhhh I guess 2 100s in a day!
I finally finished it.
Parannoul is ether. If a single artist or band displays, with such eloquence an array of colors, all different moods within one, so successfully, it's Parannoul.
I've been listening to Parannoul since late 2022. I stumbled upon their music while doomscrolling through rateyourmusic. I remember seeing the album cover for To See the Next Part of the Dream somewhere, not knowing what it was from, but falling in love immediately. Beautiful World, White Ceiling, ... read more
This one has for sure grown on me. I used to feel like a good handful of the instrumentals felt flimsy and very proto-Odd Future-esque, which I didn't really vibe with.
But now I see that I was very wrong.
