AHHHHHHHHHHH IT'S SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
i don't even have words. oh my lawd....
this might be my favorite Kendrick album
I can't believe that I hadn't given a full listen to this thing until recently. I WAS MISSING OUT. For some reason, I've long avoided most of Section.80 for no reason other than time and feeling like it would somehow pad down my enjoyment of the two Kendrick Lamar albums that succeed it. I WAS ALSO WRONG ABOUT THAT.
I find Section.80 to be a fun, loopy, and incredibly hype album. Like, if I had been there to listen to this back in 2011, I probably would've lost it. This ... read more
Me and Your Mama new contender for favorite opener to an album maybe ever. This whole album GOES OFF
Shouts out to @Dollarhorse for this amazing recommendation
I thInk i MIGHT have heard of Haley Heynderickx before, and it might be because I like Mitski(?), but honestly who knows. Anyways, I am very very happy that this album wound up in my lap. It's like if 'The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We' by Mitski was awesome.
This definitely isn't a perfect album. There's a few(very few) rougher patches or songs I just don't like as much as the real meat of this ... read more
This is therapeutic music.
I don't think I can justify a perfect score, it's purely emotionally influenced. I needed this album so much right now. It popped into my life at just the right time.
Remember to 'Be YOURSELF'. Advice that was much needed. Thank You.
this is definitely within the top 10 albums that sound EXACTLY like how their cover art looks
It's an explosion of incredible chroma that is overwhelmingly beautiful.
it's a 99, gliding on 100
Okay guys I can confirm, this is arguably the best album to listen to while driving around at sunset. magical experience when See You Again came on over the soft colors of the evening.
I'm not sure what my intention was keeping this logged at an 87/100, especially since IGOR is, and has been since I first heard it when it came out, one of my favorite albums ever. IGOR is a spectacular album that hits even harder once you can kinda get where he's coming from on here. Long faded has the burnout, now its time for a TYLER, THE CREATOR WINTER
As someone who has minimized his exposure to black midi (lol don't ask me why) this is an interesting introduction to anything that might closely resemble their style. I think the best way i could describe it is that it sounds like how it looks. baits you in for a kiss then cuts your head off with a maniacal breakdown of jizzy-jazy wankery (this is a good thing)
I initially intended to review the albums of Radiohead in order, so naturally, that means 'OK Computer' should come before this one, but guess what? Kid A, to me, was wayyyy easier to feel out than 'OK Computer' in like every way so lol here goes nothing!
Yeah ok ok ok Kid A is really good! I am shocked! How could it be? This band is for incels they're not allowed to make good music! And I mean gooooooooood music. Like, most of this album BANGS! That doesn't mean ... read more
Mind-boggling, crescendo, decrescendo, explosion, uplifting, depressing, crashing, like waves
no rating...pure mastery through and through
huh who'd of guessed its really good
When you were a kid, did you ever fall asleep on the couch to DBZ and wake up to one of those insane transitional screens in between programming on 4:00 AM Adult Swim and it was playing some crazy music with bizarre visuals? If you've ever wanted to relive some of that experience, this is the album for you!
I got so caught up trying to fully digest 'Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven' by Godspeed You! Black Emperor that I factory reset and started listening to Radiohead...THERE'S MORE TO COME
'The Bends' is a good album that I simply find has a little too much Grunge soot left on it to be a "great album". That doesn't mean it has no good moments, though. 'Fake Plastic Trees', '(Nice Dream)', 'Bullet Proof...', ... read more
i guess you could say i'm more than "kind of" blue that this album ends. wish it could play with these smooooooooooooth sounds forever. thank you, Miles Davis
...(my third Miles Davis album!)
