'everyone’s gonna be having a choke enough spring and then Oklou gets nominated for 10 grammys and wins 7 including best new artist and album of the year'
I was apprehensive going in because I wasn't really feeling any of the singles, but they all hit so hard in the context of the album. Oklou has created such a serene atmosphere that I can't get enough of rn. blade bird is prob my fav
I love twigs (i think my first review on here was when magdalene came out) but this one hasn't really scratched the itch that her previous work has for me. It feels like her most "expensive" album (if that makes sense) but it feels like her least inventive work yet (TO ME). I did really enjoy the last run of tracks at the end but the first half or so really did nothing for me. I'll edit this if my thoughts ever change it's still early doors
A strangely hypnotizing and beautiful avant-garde folk album that you'll probably either love or hate. Hanna Tuulikki's vocal performance is spectacular and the arrangements are all really well developed. Honestly surprised this wasn't already catalogued on the site
super cozy album! never knew what the next song would sound like (something i really respect and value). it definitely grew on me more and more as it went on, would recommend!
favorites (in order of appearance): game of zeroes, rosie, the rain, into a pretty room, fun and loving, helen's song
