This is the first time I've ever heard of Westside Gunn, but I found this album making the rounds on Instagram and Twitter. As soon as I saw the feature list, and some of the production credits from big names such as Alchemist and Tyler, The Creator, I knew I should give it a listen. And I'm glad I did.

This single is getting a lot of hate and I'm not quite sure why. The beat, while very simple, feels like a logical evolution of the sound of Die Lit. Carti's music only sets out to achieve a vibe and that's exactly what he's done here, giving off a sense of playfulness and fun. Only gripe I really have is the hook at some points sounds kinda off, like his delivery is a bit awkward, but even that helps play into the vibe a bit. Given Travis Scott's track record when it comes to collaboration albums, I wasn't expecting much going into this. However, I was pleasantly surprised with a handful of decent trap bangers.

I felt the HIGHEST IN THE ROOM remix didn't really add anything new to the track past the slightly altered first chorus and verse, with added vocals from ROSALÍA, which I actually enjoyed.
