love song is the most prince adjunct song that prince did infact produce
such a fun pop album that somehow made me cry while dance at the same time
my first rocky album and it's pretty enjoyable some beats are stale but his rapping is good
also wtf is going on with apple music
album with the same name as weird al's album I had high expectations
I can't believe I'm going to admit this but I listened to a bunch of cavetown in 2020 and his evolution as an artist has been interesting it finally feels like he's straying away from his usual sound and it's for the better
after overloading my brain with a bunch of slightly bad bowie albums this is a perfect break. Talk about iconic this album is it somehow making me believe I'm in a early 2000s movie while not aging like shit. Of course maneater promiscuous and say it right are highlights but some of the less popular tracks like glow, Te Busque, do it and all good things (come to an end) are hard hitting as well.
like his 80s output it feels generic and with this meant to be reflecting on his career he doesn't do it in a interesting way unlike (I'm assuming) blackstar does
aside from those two things the production is stellar and the first couple songs are really good
finally reviewing this bowie album
Now I've never hear the grime heavy bits of drum and bass so this was really refreshing and also a bit outta my comfort zone. Obviously this album isn't a lyrical masterpiece but it's really fun and often times hilarious. That mixed with interesting and gripping production it's guaranteed to be a good time.
The title fits perfectly well with the experience of this album. When I was sitting down to review this I genuinely had no words I barely remembered anything about this
Thanks @sunsetkar for the recommendation
Now I had this on my list last year of stuff to listen to but I never got around to it. This was so good I don’t know what I expected all I heard was it wasn’t like traditional K-pop it was more electronic. At first the vocals was a bit jarring but after I couple listens I was completely in love with them. I love pinks feature it fit so perfectly in the song I didn’t even notice she was on the track. The highlights was definitely ... read more
I've been trying to get more into kpop because my sisters obsessed with it
and this was pretty alright, what stood out to me most was her vocals which are absolutely stunning though the production fell a little flat with some basic reverb kick drums carrying most of the melodies.
I haven't been keeping up with new single releases but when i saw this i had to review it
such an emotional song I was on the verge of tears. the only word I can use for this song is stunning. weird for this to be a single cause it feels like an ending to something we've yet to see
this and earthling are my dads favourites from bowie so I'm excited to give this a listen
this was damn good even if a little long. bowie is back in his experimenting bag working with Brian Eno again and giving us this industrial journey of an album. I will say at times it's a bit too ambitious especially with the segues which were completely unnecessary and as a concept album it doesn't work all that great. Overall I did love a lot of the tracks and I think it's definitely ... read more
Back with a long EP Sabrina leans into more of a psychedelic sound taking us on a full journey. Safe to say it's pretty great I mean nothing can beat LOOP:GLAMOUR that was top tier but I enjoyed the experimenting it really felt like being sucked into a wormhole
One of my favorite movies growing up even if it gave me nightmares. I rewatched this with a friend last year and remembered while I was doing my David Bowie deep dive so I’d thought I’d rate this as well. Absolutely stunning soundtrack that can be sometimes awkwardly goofy.
Certainly an improvement from the last album but that isn’t a high bar. I really like his experimenting and this is no exception he sounds like he’s actually trying unlike the last couple albums. Sure it’s not mind blowing but he’s taken a step up for the better.
This is consider Bowie’s worst album besides his debut and I completely understand why. it’s his most soulless album so far and besides being soulless 80s pop, it has the audacity to be extremely boring. I mean I wouldn’t be surprised if he rocked up to the studio and did his vocals in one take. Not even mentioning the lyrics which is similar to that of internet girl by katseye.
