There are a lot of things that sucked about growing up in the United States. The police, government corruption, broken justice system, shitty healthcare, etc. But to me, the worst thing is that I wasn't instead growing up experiencing the absolute fucking tear Sheena Ringo was on between 1999 and 2009 first-hand.
Reading the first two pages of Frankenstein over and over again for the duration of this album probably would have been time better spent

It's obviously nearly impossible to not talk about Twin Peaks when discussing "Floating Into the Night" especially given that all of its lyrics are written by David Lynch and the music's all Angelo Badalamenti's doing. The songs off the album that do appear within the show are naturally my favorites because they have unforgettable scenes tied to them. So I've done 25 of these huh? Fitting that I reach a quarter-ways to 100 of these things with another PJ Harvey review. It is my duty after all, being the biggest PJ fan on AOTY (that I'm aware of) to cover Dry as it turns 30 (!) today. Dry?
