A minimalistic and simple production to encompass some well-written lyrics that can make anyone feel safe. Just as if they were in this blue where everything is good :)
Everything here is harmonic and balanced. Nothing too special nor experimental, but measured exactly to be a very good and comfortable (in a good way) album.
Highlights - 𝐑𝐢𝐛𝐬, Buzzcut Season, Team
It has this ambiance and multi-faceted production that just make us go through a very deep yet soft immersive experience. Billie is a young girl going through a lot psychologically and knows how to turn her monsters into this amazing project. It is unfortunately hated for no reason at all.
Highlights - xanny, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲'𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐚 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝, listen before i go
In her debut album, Sawayama finds a good place to analyze and vent about social and personal issues.
And, wow... Rina isn't content with comfort zones, so she just takes influence from as many genres as she can to build a very bold and daring pop album. It indeed has many low points, but end up being very interesting as a whole.
Highlights - 𝐃𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐲, 𝐗𝐒, Comme Des Garçons (Like The Boys)
In 'After Hours', Abel makes use of a rich and well-crafted production to demonstrate how the spotlight can make one blind. While he seeks in power the suppress of his deepest desires, he watches his relationships fading away for his own actions.
Abel has many flaws, and so does this album, but overall it is way better than expected.
Highlights - Faith, Blinding Lights, 𝐈𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐬, 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬.
The nostalgic element together with social criticism about the new age and the pretty well-crafted production turn this into one of the most solid pop EPs I've heard.
Highlights: Ordinary Superstar, 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, Cyber Stockholm Syndrome
