While this Bad album is a rather significant step down from the last two revolutionary albums, it's still Michael fucking Jackson and with his sheer charisma and the magic of Quincy they manage to strike a certain level of magic for the third time. While the signs while very minor for MJs downfall are there it's still overshadowed by the amount of timeless singles and other fun pop tracks that has the party going just a little longer before the eventual collapse rears it's head. Very fun album, ... read more
Sounds like a generic Alt Rock album from the 90's. I guess it's innovative and influential since a billion bands replicated this sound and this is the earliest in the music timeline that I have heard it. Still generic music is generic. The instrumentation is competent and the whiney voice whines away. Not my kind of music no matter how much exposure I get of it. No thanks.
"For some reason I didn't quite connect with "Why Don't You Eat Carrots?" But the other two songs are insane in the best way possible. This album is must hear if you enjoy experimental albums that aren't afraid to go to weird places.
The album just got better the further down the rabbit hole you ventured. So hold on tight cause the journey this one takes you is a wild one!"

1000 Reviews.
I fucking did it! And in just under a year of me making this account back in May 8th 2023 as well. I am doing a special review for this milestone and you should expect another literally tomorrow in celebration of my account turning one year old!
I did a CRJ review for my 100 followers and 500followers/birthday review respectfully, but I got an album in mind saved for the fateful day that this humble account may just reach the summit of the thousand followers mountain. But ... read more
I tolerated the female vocaled tracks more but everything else is the definition of generic Alt Rock. Still boring forgettable drivel regardless.
The epic guitar solos wake me up from the constant sludge and generic soaring metal vocals. But they still don't really do much to improve the overall middling experience.
Some tasty delicious Jazz Fusion from the often YouTube recommend album "Flying Beagle" with the smiling dog welcoming you into a funky good time! The appeal is straightforward and it achieves what it sets out to do while keeping the flow moving forward. It's a gem of an album that I am really happy to know is being discovered randomly almost every day due to the mysterious whims of an algorithm. If you haven't given in and clicked on that one forty minute video with the cute puppo ... read more
What a great voice she has! The production is fun as well. Tons of variety and interesting flavors that keeps the entertainment going throughout the album. Good stuff from the recently deceased artist.

An excellent Darkwave album from the infamous Depeche Mode. Good amount of creativity and innovative moments are here to be enjoyed by casuals and experienced critics to enjoy. And man was this album an enjoyable experience. Didn't know they had this in them but they proved my previous ignorant dismissal of them very wrong. These guys have IT and I want more. Truly wonderful stuff that I highly recommend you check out!

Some nice Alt Rock with the more jazzy tunes being a standout that I personally think fits this band better. They do a swell job regardless and I am interested to see how they evolve their sound from here.

A fascinating record from the legendary band Swans. While I find their latest release to be better than this, it still holds it's own well and especially for 1987 standards this record would be a complete standout amongst it's contemporaries. You can tell that this band is something special and they have way more to offer. This is only the beginning, they will only get better and the releases more legendary. So while I find this a bit underwhelming compared to the heavy and dense The Beggar, ... read more
1000th rating WOOO!!!🎉🎊
So what you're telling me is that Dungeon Synth is basically Neoclassical Darkwave and I have been mislabeling it this entire time because of Spotify and Tik Tok calling it as such???? Cool. I am still going to call it Dungeon Synth cause it sounds cooler.
Anyways whatever you may call this genre, it's fucking amazing and I love everything about it! From the dark fantasy feel to the majestic voices it's just a place that I would absolutely love to visit but hate ... read more
I was surprised of the more haunting ambient feel to this album only to learn that of course Eno was one of the producers.
At first I was pretty whelmed as the overplayed soft rock singles went by, but once Bullet the Blue Sky came around I quickly warned up to it as things became a lot more engaging and fresh.
It ain't a barn burner and definitely takes it's time for each song for the audience to marinate the mellow vibe and messages of each tune. The production is sharp and that guy's voice ... read more
Damn that was pretty good! It's a slow cooker, but damn does it get hot by the end! No real complaints other than that it needs a bit of patience for the full effect to come through, and with this tik tok pulled generation I don't think the kiddies will appreciate this album as much. Still for the adults of the room this album offers a grand time with good music with great people!

I didn't know Toad was in a metal band back in the day! What a fucking baller!
You know with Thrash taking over the metal world and the introduction of Black metal, coming back to the classic format kinda feels a bit underwhelming. Like the soaring vocals and the chunky guitar and such still works, but it feels kinda dated for 1987. Yeah don't fix what ain't broke and all but that's not going to compete with the subgenres and bands that are younger, bolder, and will leave classic metal in the ... read more
It's Jazz Fusion so it's good music and I was enjoying myself throughout, but it's nothing new. Everything is about how you expect it to be when you hear the genre. While it's great within it's limited scope, that scope is still limited and can get a bit samey the more you listen long term. Still it's well executed and the shine definitely hasn't worn off for me, but I can definitely see myself getting tired or even bored of this stuff if nothing truly innovative that changes my perception of ... read more
