So funny that this exists but honestly I’d rather hear this than Drake’s original
Lots of fire but some redundancy in the tracklist / songs that end prematurely.
Also some of the mix / master volume levels seem a little off. (I’m not complaining about the distortion/clipping/compression as all of that is pretty standard for this type of music, but there’s multiple points where songs are noticeably quieter or louder than previous songs, or beat switches where the volume level of the entire track noticeably drops)
It doesn’t help that I listened to this after the new Jane Remover project, but a lot of this record feels lacking in bite and personality.
There’s a lot of great production to be found but a lot of it feels by the numbers and 2hollis himself seems like he isn’t really doing the best job of letting himself as an artist shine out of everything. 2hollis chose a bad day to drop because this is the golden standard of quirked up geeked up electronic hyperpop hip hop hybrid music
Sure there’s the whole Kanye is a horrible person conversation which always will sour any new music
But even putting that aside, all this album gives us is a bunch of half decent soul sample based beats (all rather simply done) with AI vocals (some of which are so aggressively AI that its hard to listen too). If this project was released by some random bedroom producer on YouTube or even a r/yedits user it wouldn’t be worth any note.

While perhaps not quite as impressive as you’d expect after 5 years, the first half of this record is a really solid trap project. In the second half we still get some gems but it starts to lose focus.
The singles had me convinced this was going to be disappointing
I’ve never been more wrong
This album is gorgeous, cinematic, and incredibly well put together. A fitting conclusion to the trilogy that started with After Hours and a massive testament to the multifaceted talent of Abel.
