Australian electronic classic

PNAU - Changa

Underrated as it gets

Hojean - Swing

Reasonably good without being especially impressive

James Blake - Bad Cameo

Some moments aren’t particularly memorable but it’s a dreamy collab that doesn’t necessarily have any bad moments

SNOOZER AND A HALFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Against all odds I actually got put on to a good artist from TikTok

It’s crazy that opium stans have the audacity to call stuff like A Great Chaos experimental when music like this exists

Β₯$ - Vultures

Honestly this song grew on me a lot but overall the worst about this remains the Kanye verse. The rest gives this very raw mixtape energy and everyone on here has pretty entertaining verse…. Except Kanye. He sounds absolutely washed, and just cringe tbh.

THREE OH FIVE WE IN THE HOUUUUUUUUUSEEE

Denzel is great as a rapper who can make you sit and think but he’s also great as a rapper who just makes pure hype. This is the latter.

Who else could make “sticks out like I’m Voldemort” sound cool?

Joji - BALLADS 1

Recently revisited this and while I definitely had a Joji phase in which I probably overhyped this album, it’s still aged really well, especially with the direction of music in the years following.

A very well assembled raw selection of rough, lofi alternative r&b. Sure it has its imperfections but a lot of that ends up playing into the emotional weight it manages to carry. Underrated in terms of influence and possibly Joji’s best work.

AJR - Neotheater

i swear this one isn't too bad

AJR - The Click

nostalgia means i can't hate this tbh

Type beat ahh music

twenty one pilots - Clancy

It’s not Trench 2 and that’s a very good thing

There’s a few songs that prove good music can still come out of the Kanye brand but the quality of most of the album makes you wonder if we’ll ever get another good ALBUM out of the Kanye brand.

"i feel like the general social media response of this album kinda proves the whole "white rappers get praised for doing the bare minimum" take. if any black r&b artist/rapper dropped this album, there would be absolutely zero fanfare for it... because it's just very average."

"Lowkey the beat isn’t even that good. It’s just the bar has been lowered so much by how bad Vultures 1 & 2 were, that a half decent beat with a soul sample immediately gets glazed."

"I partially understand where you’re coming from, but the music on here is definitely more refined than the albums he’s done with similar sounds before, plus this is lyrically more personal than records like Cherry Bomb or CMIYGL by a landslide"
