Actually my favorite of the pre-VIVIsectVI SP albums

I never remember much about this album but Assimilate is pretty rad

I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me

This album got me through my freshman year of college. It was also the first album cycle I saw twenty one pilots live for which was cool. This is the only twenty one pilots album that I think everyone can admit is unironically fucking great. The production is incredible, there's variety in the song style while still remaining cohesive, the lore was actually kind of fun, and Tyler Joseph's vocals are solid throughout. I listened to this album before Stressed Out got popular which legally makes me a hipster. No but seriously, I think for an aggressively mainstream album that refuses to admit it's aggressively mainstream, this is still decent, even if it's "cringe." Honestly I still think the production on this album is decent which seems to be an unpopular opinion on here. Holding On To You, Fake You Out, Migraine and Trees are absolute highlights in the twenty one pilots catalogue, but everything else kinda falls flat when you're not an emotionally fucked up teenager anymore lol. Anathema was briefly my favorite twenty one pilots song and I still kinda stand by that, even though looking back the lyrics are pretty meh. Everything else on here though is just. Bad.

I guess since I'm committed to posting on here now I should start sifting through the backlog of stuff I've listened to. Starting with twenty one pilots. HUGE step up from Divisions and exactly the kind of album I've been hoping for from Starset since Vessels. As soon as I turned on Unveiling the Architecture I knew this would be an absolute quest. The production is stellar, the hooks are immediate, and the songs flow together incredibly well without getting too same-y. Queer group therapy. One of the best albums of 2020 and of the decade so far. Each song is so stand-out but also so much a part of a glimmering whole

I wrote 2 college history papers with this album on loop last fall, thank you björk for saving me from utterly snapping. Hyperballad has to be one of the greatest pop songs ever

This album got me through hell and the instrumentals are incredible imo

Over the past couple years I've been coming back to this album and using how badly it freaks me out as a gauge for how pretentious my music taste is getting. It just sounds normal and fun to me now so I guess I've finally done it. What a fucking Album
