I liked this, the way ken carson give us a fair and delightful rage album is great executed, the problem is that some songs are just so fucking repetitive that you just skip them but in the overall i guess it's a entertaining record but that's all i can say for it.
This mf does not miss, Illinois is a fucking MASTERPIECE. The rollercoster of emotions i had with Illinois just made me so fucking nostalgic and I felt so moved by the fascinating lyrics of their songs with a sound so sweet but at the same time so mature. This is peak, for REAL.
The way Sufjan just fucking hit my heart with this one MY GOD. The songwriting on this album is so dense and bittersweet that i cried a bit in some songs plus the minimalist folk sounds creates a isolated grief album that i just consider as a masterpiece at its finest
Such a great fucking album, i totally can tell how hypnotic, playful and melodic the musical arrangement is. Despite of the kinda awful vocal performance, the instrumentation plus the progressions of the album feels so dense and abstract.
They might be giants selftitled is not that bad but i think it has a monotonous sounding for a rock record regardless of the year it was made it falls short compared to other rock albums of the time. But it's not thaaaat bad its enjoyable at least
