Thanks mom.
Pleasant, albeit kinda generic alt rock album. The production and the vocals are pretty good here, but there isn't much that sticks out outside of a few songs (the ones with a 75+ rating from me).
Still though, nothing stuck out as bad and I mostly enjoyed my time with this.
This was a decent album.
New Viagra Boys hell yeah!
Goes hard I love the bar about my mom's onlyfans account
Honestly if the vocalist wasn't trying to sound like he stuck his dick into a blender almost the entire time, this might have actually been a listenable album. Some of these instrumentals don't even sound that bad.
But as it is, this is one of the most insufferable things I have listened to in my entire life.
I've had 'Antidotes' on repeat for the past few weeks so I decided to check out this follow up.
This definetly goes for a different vibe than their debut. There's much more indie pop influence rather than the dance punk of 'Antidotes'. These songs are much slower paced as well and the vocals take a different approach too.
The songs are a lot less danceable and try to shoot for a more atmospheric vibe which does work in a few places, sounds a bit boring at times ... read more
Right my first review from 2025, kicking things of with the brand new Franz Ferdinand album. I'm actually a fan of Franz Ferdinand, I saw them live back in the summer of 2023 and I liked their first three albums well enough. They're not my favorite albums ever but they're pretty fun to listen to and have quite a few bangers under their belt.
I'm a bit sceptical of this album though, since I thought that the singles were just ok, and if the rest of the album is anything ... read more
Am I missing something? This sounds really corny and these synths just sound extremely cheap to me. I really don't get these new singles, the other ones weren't this bad though.
Ok, this album is where most of the goodwill for Imagine Dragons dissapeared from the general public.
While the previous albums weren't quite all that great, I could still see the potential in them. 'Smoke + Mirrors' in particular sounded like they were actually trying to do something other than generic arena rock made to be played in commercials. The lush production and the lively performances made me tolerate that album and I was ready for them to evolve upon that sound. ... read more
Who up imagining they dragons?
This album is considered by many to be their best album and after listening I would probably agree. I doubt it gets much better than this in their discography.
'Shots' works well enough as an opener. It has the best chorus on the entire album and it displays the biggest improvement of this album over their debut - the production.
This album's production isn't the greatest thing ever admittedly, but they really did try different stuff with ... read more
This thing is just so damn raw and feels like drinking 5 energy drinks at once. The energy here is absolutely off the wall. Honestly though, if you take away the over the top energy from this record you're not left with much substance.
This thing is just so overbearing as is I feel like they were much better when they toned it down just a little bit. This gets kinda annoying and really samey after a bit and most of the songs are a bit too short to leave much of an impression. ... read more
Dude I don't even know why I went to listen to this. I guess I just randomly remembered that this band existed and decided to listen to this album cause I haven't heard it before.
This is certainly an album of all time. It has riffs. It sure does.
Um
Yeah this is really boring. This band just feels like they regressed a lot from their early days and now they just make really generic alternative rock. I'm not saying they were the most original band ever but damn is this ... read more
Three songs of exceptional quality male person with whom i share my parents
I mean this is good, not really much to complain about. Occasionally a boring track here and there, but a few really great tracks along the way as well.
Also as much as Wonderwall is absolutely overplayed I can't help but feel that it's one of the best songs on here. It probably helps that I haven't heard that song in ages but still.
Just a great album all around. It sounds like an improvement on Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga in a lot of ways imo. The production and performances really hit hard on this one and the attempts at more atmospheric and slower tracks are just better executed here compared to Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga.
Good shit.
This song sucks.
Like honestly I'm so shocked at how bad this is. I am not feeling this one at all. The beat is incredibly repetitive and annoying. It gets old after the first like 30 seconds and there is absolutely nothing interesting being done with the instrumentation on here. The production sounds very plasticky, tacky and annoying and Kele does his whole shtick that he has been doing on "Alpha Games" where he is trying to sound... idk like he's trying to sound flirty ... read more
EDIT EDIT: 66->70
Fuck it I gotta put in the green. This is literally my most listened to album from 2024 and I can say that I really LOVE some of the songs on here and most of the rest doesn't really sour it for me so yeah.
EDIT: 60->66
I'm making it seem in my original review like I really don't like this album when in reality that was never the case. I've been listening to the tracks that I have rated 70+ basically every day since this album came out. The high ... read more
