Pretty good, loving the clean production, the awesome riffs and the overall awesome performances on this thing. The album does become draining towards the end due to everything sounding a bit samey.
Also while I do love the energy of Dave's vocals, it does contribute to this album becoming a bit monotonous towards the end. He's not bad by any means, but let's just say that I prefer him as a drummer. Still, at worst this is just alright albeit generic alternative rock. I'll ... read more
This album is kinda weird dude.
There's a lot of stuff this album tries to do but jesus is it a mixed bag.
"If I Ever Feel Better" is an absolute banger and honestly I will probably be bumping it for a long time, but I may as well turn off the album right after that cause there's not really much worth listening to after that.
"Party Time" sounds like a bad Strokes rip off, "On Fire" is pretty anjoying and "Funky Squaredance" is absolutely ... read more
I mean there's a few parts on here I actually enjoy, but there's also a lot of segments I have to just sit through to get to the good stuff.
Like the solos are pretty cool and I like seeing them go in a heavier direction on this one, but everything else just feels a bit too tacky for me.
Still, better than basically everything on Will Of The People, but not like that was a high bar to clear.
Standard Hives pretty much. Not a fan of the chorus but the rest of the song is decent.
A bit wonky on some parts, not crazy on the vocals here. Still, fun enough listen.
My first experience with Paramore, and I have to say it's pretty good.
This album's just a sweet listen. There are quite a few songs i'd say are really fun and really good, but clocking in at over an hour this thing is just a tad bloated. The production and the performances are excellent.
I think I liked this album the most when it tried to go for a heavier sound ("Fast In My Car", "Part II", the outro of "Future"), but the poppier side of this ... read more
The best songs on here are like the best songs ever and then the worst songs are just really whatever.
They might grow on me idk
Quite a few great tracks here, I just have two main issues with this album:
1. The production on some of these songs is really questionable. The guitars are mixed way too loud and it ruins what would be some great breakdowns otherwise. Also some songs just sound a bit grating. "Emit Rammus" and "I Like Dirt" are the worst offenders on this album.
2. It's just too damn long.
60+ on an Imagine Dragons project? Jesus did I go mental?
This is actually not even bad. It's like completely alright. This is like a musical bridge between their first EP and their first album.
The production is still really not that great but the songs are genuienly just fine. The tone reminds me a bit more of what they did on their first album compared to the indie rock of the first EP, but it's still significantly less annoying than that project.
Alright let me get away from ... read more
Had this rated for a while but never wrote a review for it.
I was interested in this EP seeing how it's significantly higher rated than their albums and there's no songs on here that were put on the albums. Also it was made in 2009 so it just made me all the more curious.
What does 2009 Imagine Dragons sound like?
It sounds like The Killers but bad. Never thought I'd be comparing Imagine Dragons and The Killers but here we are. And honestly, this sounds way better than ... read more
Generally a very good album but definitely nowhere near my first choice if I want to listen to 2000s indie rock. It's just outclassed by a few other albums that were coming out at the time.
Still though, 'Reptilia' is probably one of the best indie rock songs of all time.
This album is just so fun and cute honestly. There are some absolute bangers on here (1901, Lisztomania, Fences, Armistice, Lasso) but most of these are just pleasant on the ears.
It's giving me such a nostalgic vibe despite hearing this a few days ago.
It's fine. It's got a few decent songs, but it's mostly just kinda generic indie rock. The playing is good but I'm a bit mixed on some of the vocals here.
Bro thinks he's Interpol 💀
So you guys know Interpol's album 'Turn On The Bright Lights'? I mean if you're on this website you most likely do. You know how emotional that album sounds? How dense of an atmosphere it has? And, y'know, how just plain nice it sounded?
Well this album has none of those qualities. This is 'Turn On The Bright Lights' without any of the good qualities from that album. This sounds like someone trying to recreate that album ... read more
Despite how awful 'Evolve' was, it turned out to be a massive commercial success for the band. You couldn't escape hearing "Believer" and "Thunder" everywhere you went back in 2017/18.
So for their next album, at the height of their popularity, they would go even further in that direction, this time though, along with that they tried writing some slower more ballad like 'introspective' songs as well.
Look guys I don't think I hate Imagine ... read more
Holy shit this is incredible.
This is some of the best guitarwork I have ever heard in an album ever. The rest of the band does pull their weight as well though as this thing just sounds pleasant through and through.
From the very beginning this album just sounds amazing. The incredibly fun riff of the opener and the really distinct vocals make it stand out from anything else I've heard. If I had to compare this album to anything, I'd say it sounds to me like a more somber version ... read more

Aside from that I'm just not feeling this song. I don't think it's very catchy and the writing just wasn't that interesting to me. Some parts of the instrumentation do sound nice.
It's just kinda missing something idk man. The end part feels like it's building towards something but ... read more
Yo @SnowyFighter this is like really good.
Seriously, this just hits me in the right way. It's just right up my alley. The guitar riffs are extremely punchy and the vocals are really visceral. This just sounds really well put together.
I'm feeling this one quite a bit. Can't wait to hear more on the full album.
