It feels weird even typing about albums like these because.. you know. What can I really say what has not been said already? This is masterful. David Bowie made an incredible album. No misses here. (Also Kanye West mention)
King Crimson's - Discipline seems to fall short compared to their other records. This one still having decent instrumentation and production, it's just more bland and uninspired than their previous works.
Very boring and generic Midwest Emo. Only notable thing is the drumming. Vocals are annoying.

Animal Collective's Sung Tongs started off very weird. Middle was okay then ended too weird.. This album is both on putting and off putting to me. Im confused. Just take my rating I don't know what to say.
Update: I like it way more on the second listen.
Pretty Intriguing record to say the least. It seems to me that all of these songs blend together, It was hard for me to differentiate one track from another at first. Pretty standard punk sound with an amazing drummer on the band. Not much to say on my end. This album is pretty messy though, well that's the whole punk genre. Which I am confused how that's the last one here? This is so punk...
One of the best Progressive Rock albums ever made. King Crimson's "In The Court of the Crimson King" Redefines the genre with their 10+ minute long never ending rock songs that feature horns and different sections to divide the songs up into. Going from aggressive and distorted to calm and collected. This album never disappoints.
American Football's second record Is not as ambitious and overall amazing as their previous. Even with that mentioned this album can still hold it's ground, just not a very stable one. The midwest emo sound they were known for falls flat here and sounds too modernized to compare to its predecessor.
Midwest Emo, just like shoegaze. It's either the worst thing you will ever hear, or the best... And with American Football self titled it seems to be the ladder. From the calming riffs to the jazz like drums. This album is really something special...
Gojira Is good at what they do but not good at trying to experiment upon what they do. L'efant Sauvage is the more experiment of them I've heard but still too similar to their other works. There is no denying that they are quite amazing however.
This is another example on how Phil can never make a bad song nor album. The interesting thing about this record is that it also features female backing vocals. Such a fascinating album as per usual.
After hearing this again I must say it grew off me a bit. It's still great of course. But not 100 worthy for me..
Now, I have heard this before. The only part I remembered is that intro arpeggio and that's it. All I remembered from listening to LONG SEASON was that I was not fond of this record. But alas I've come to realized that this album is a lot better than I initially realized. All of LONG SEASON puts you in a trance like state where all you do is just get lost in the melodies and production.
LONG SEASON grew on me a lot, this is an almost perfect record. going from a 65 before to my ... read more
Amazing Downtempo record. Not much to say. Fishmans never fail to impress... This is like walking while you are dreaming. Beautiful record for sure.
Amazing album... For the first half.. Not sure what happened but it just got not as good.. What a shame.
I thought we left Trash Metal back in the 90's? This is one of the most overdone and annoying genres since poser shoegaze. Megadeth fell off hard with this album here. This is like if a parent in the 80's wrote the lyrics for this album about what they think a "Rebellious" teenager thinks like. It's god awful. It also seems to me Dave Shitstain is still butt hurt over him being a stupid drunk and getting kicked out of Metallica, I mean hell. He added a song from Ride ... read more
As someone who isn't a fan of Deftones. This album is not something to shy away from. This is peak Shoegaze-metal. I see why it has the rating it does.
This is Swans at their most uncreative and lack luster. Even with that being said "Filth" Is a record not to over look. You can feel the sheer anger and grit that this album radiates. The lyrics are hateful, angsty chants, almost like Michael Gira is protesting on each song.
This album can get boring and a bit mediocre at times. Like with the third track, it sounds stale and unpolished to me (not in a good way).
It's about time I got to GO:OD AM, this was my first Mac record, I totally forgot it before this. This album is where he goes back to his roots in rap but also introspectively, it has more of that pop rap sound but with a neo-soul twist. It's pretty good for what it is.
I am conflicted on this album.. It's amazing, but it's pales in comparison to his last two (Im going in chronological so i did balloonerism and faces first, hard to top that I know) But GO:OD AM Is a ... read more
Trent Reznor never fails to deliver the most weird, experimental and unique sound to the music scene. This doesn't compare to his other albums as his style is vague to that of Downward Spiral but more aggressive almost, as in fast tempos and more synth-bass. It's a mix of Pretty Hate Machine and Downward Spiral. I can't say I hate it. It's pretty good.
