Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial
NR

I was lying to myself by not giving it a 10. The perfect indie rock album.

Arctic Monkeys - Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino
NR

Here we are now at the end, the space hotel.

TBH+C is the monkey's most recent album as of now. Another HUGE change in sound for them that left fans very split. Weirdly enough this is the first AM album I heard back in 2019 actually. I've always liked this album, never my favourite, but I appreciate the risks they took and how they panned out. Alex Turner, for the first time in over a decade, sounds like he actually cares about the music. It's very refreshing to have songs that are thought ... read more

Arctic Monkeys - AM

Edit 2: (100>17) Actually I change my mind.

Edit: (17>100) Yknow what, this album is actually incredible. It just took me listening to One for the Road on repeat for 39 hours, and I FINALLY got it. This IS a masterpiece.

I first wanna say that today, February 10th, marks me being on AOTY for 1 year. I am BEYOND happy that I found this great community to express opinions and my love for music with people who are just as passionate about it. Before AOTY I was getting into music, but ... read more

I saw, and it sucked.

This is quite a disappointing album in the AM discography. After a big risk in changing up their sound, and not immediately getting the praise they're used to, they make the safest decision they ... read more

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
NR

I wanna know the story to how they got to the name 'Humbug'

Humbug for the monkeys is the beginning of the band drastically changing their sound between every album. Their last 2 albums were fairly consistent in their sound. Garage and indie rock as well as a bit of post punk made a up most of their sound, with some other variation here and there. This album is where the arctic monkeys literally left their natural habit to go into the desert. The more Stripped back, stoner rock sound they go ... read more

Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare
NR

Favourite Worst Nightmare really described my opinion on this album perfectly.

Ooh Favourite Worst Nightmare. An album loved and adored, an indie classic. More experimental and energetic than their last album. A More ambitious album too. All these things are true, however this album just doesn't do it for me. It's got a lot of the same qualities, like the ones I stated previously, as well as all the sick baselines which I do truly love. Great guitar tones and melodies. Again tho for all the ... read more

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There

This is the shit you imagine in your head, but never think could be real.

Goodbye Isaac we all hope you can find peace and happiness. Truly no better goodbye.

Have we considered the fact that maybe corey is deaf?

Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
NR

I guess I'm more of a fork guy :/

Daniel Son & Futurewave - Son Tzu & the Wav.God
NR

Great background album. The beats are really chill and vibey. If I did homework I could imagine having this on and vibing. The only problem is it's not very engaging. First few tracks were really interesting, but as it went on I was less and less interested in what was going on. Very solid album overall.

Alkaline Pink & Elitimesfour - ⭐0 b s c U r i t Y⭐

9 hours into the new year...I'm so lonely

Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever
NR

Love. Abuse.

As sad as it is, some people can't tell the difference in the moment. Billie Eilish has made it very apparent that her life during and after this relationship was pretty shit. The healing process from an abusive relationship is a tortuous hell of self doubt, anger, depression- really, your life it shattered, and you are left alone. Picking up the pieces, sweeping the dust. The inconsistent, ever changing path of healing may go on far longer than one might feel it should. But, one ... read more

Edit: okay but honestly this is a 7 for me. Also 'Like you do' is killing me rn :(

Black Country, New Road - Bread Song

Another great single from aoty's favourite band. this one being much slower and intimate. i absolutely love the lyrics on this song, they really intrigue me, i don't quite know what's going on, but god i wanna know. i love the last minute or so, reminds me a little of early pink floyd. i'd say i like the last single instrumentally more, but this makes me even more hyped for the new album.

Green Day - American Idiot
NR

this is the phineas and ferb theme song but political

Ed Sheeran - =

once he drops subtraction this will all make sense

Sonic Youth - Goo
NR

Holy FucKk. This album keeps me entertained for nearly the entire 50 minute runtime. This is just my kind of album really, It's got some insane riffs, build ups, explosive moments, and some attitude. However you've gotta be in the right mood to fully enjoy this.

Lil Peep - Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2
NR

okay.

this review its going to be my general thoughts on lil peep as a whole, as i want them all collected in one space. it's very difficult for me to talk about him, and even harder to listen to his music, and especially to critique it.

for me to say anything let me give you some background. Peep for me, is connected to the most traumatic, life changing moments in my life. I won't just see him as that emo trap guy, i see him as the guy who was there for me to come home to everyday, the guy ... read more
