You know that feeling when you enjoy certain songs but wouldn't personally go out your way to replay them? Yea that's this. Also Euphoria and Like That on a Keshi album? Kendrick won't like this smh.
Lots of room for Keshi to improve in the writing, creativity, and captivation aspects. I can hear the passion and soul within him but it keeps itself held back by blatant inspired R&B/pop sounds. On the production front I hear some interesting ideas but sadly it doesn't do ... read more
I can say with certainty that this deserves all the praise it gets. Whenever I think of Rock, King Crimson is at the forefront of my mind and for good reason. This is the definitive prog rock album, they may have you waiting quite a bit for that build on 21st Century Schizoid man but let me tell you it is WORTH IT. Love the use of every instrument, nothing goes unnoticed and unappreciated. The frantic energy then brought to a mellow tone right after, it's all perfectly structured. Wish I ... read more
I love the vocals, the production, the nature of this album's atmosphere. Yet I don't really resonate with anything from this track list. Lots of gratuitous sounds and harmonious efforts but this LP falls short in being coherent and grasping. Some of the things Nick Cave tells me is in one ear and out the other. I enjoy the soundscape and feel comforted by his voice. Also I can hear some Bon Iver influence on O Wow O Wow.

For a band that gives us very similar structured projects with each release, they still manage to grab a piece of my soul every single time. Sigur Rós is my comfort when I'm stressed and the nutrients I need when low on energy. Not too much to say for this album because it's what you'd expect but that isn't a bad thing since the expected from these guys will always be captivating. The cover gives a feeling of hope and that too motivates me to get through my day.
Rest in peace to James Earl Jones, our ONE and ONLY Mufasa.
This soundtrack withstands the tests of time in cinema culture.
One of the most obnoxious rap albums I've ever heard. The autotune is painstakingly aggressive and doesn't even sound as if it was mixed properly. Everything is off key and just sounds like a poor mans carti (aka ian).
We transcending with this one!
Like the album cover the soundscape tethers you to this dark abyss of spacious techno-hypnotic echoes. The production leaves you in this dream-like state with nothing but comfort and your thoughts. For my first listen from Trentemøller, I appreciate the therapeutic nature of what he provides.
Now yes I can understand the soft-spoken ambience from one end. Conversely, we have to look from a more scathing point of view when speaking about personal ... read more
The most uncaring, redundant track as always. Feeding us the most demonic and uninteresting lyrics.
Yea.. this that good suicide
Emo cousins Scrim and Ruby are two Louisianimals (yes that's a term) who made their way up the game by delving into the influential world of Memphis Rap. I've heard a few albums here and there, a few EPs and singles aswell. My personal experience with their sound has always been iffy due to a couple pleading factors. Sometimes it's the vocals, sometimes it's the mundane production, it all varies. Memphis rap in general has only ever been the ... read more
I've never been so terrified yet in love with an album. Xiu Xiu is never afraid to take risks and push past the limits of what music is defined to be. This is truly a standout project and if you don't put this album on while trying to sleep you're doing it wrong.
Well, this is my 200th review.. I feel like it's only right to give this special review to the album that changed my life. By that I mean late registration was the saving grace that pushed me into the beautiful artistic world of music. For context, I was a sophomore in high school listening to all the radio popular songs and tiktok trendy hits until one day when I was watching a twitch streamer. He had touch the sky playing and I enjoyed every second of what I was hearing, blown away in ... read more
To summarize this LP: Country pop that doesn't do much justice for its genre still comes out enjoyable in some of its endeavors. It reminds me of the new Post Malone project, which isn't doing much in its favor but I can appreciate the ideas here a bit more. This Jessie Murph LP has plausible vocal harmonies and some heartfelt substance to back it up at points. Definitely a more radio accessible album.

From the production to the lyricism, everything is MAD bruv! You know this is just about perfect when even the interludes are amazingly captivating.
I'm not seeing the enjoyment AT ALL. This album felt more like a torturous chore rather than a fun experience. I'm no stranger to Toro Y Moi's work as he's had notable moments as a feature but this was a snooze fest of an album. No disrespect but this entire listen felt so void of personality. It felt like I was listening to that new Channel Tres album all over again. The pen game is so bland, every track is basically uninteresting, and the vocals/delivery on the first half ... read more
Guess who's back!
Fred again.. is an English songwriter/producer from London. Frederick is an electronic composer for the most part who's clearly made quite a name for himself as we see him work with multitudes of big names in the industry. This time around we get a new project which plays out as expected. Lots of dance influence and clunky sounds thrown around here and there creating what is essentially a dance album for the MOST part.
Now after a few listens I can't help but ... read more
Lots of cutesy ideas were filled within each track. The quickened pace of each record kind of helps subside the bloat from this LP. Nothing too deep to dive into with this album but I do enjoy the direction Joanna Wang takes on this LP. While of course nothing really connects to make a bigger point, the tracklist feels like a fun little quest as you journey toward the end. It's fun to venture through.

The exotic and unapologetically abrasive production from the one and only Iglooghost gratifies my attention. The ability he has to push this bold sound while not scaring off the listener and instead hooking them in is a skillful accomplishment. From electro-wavy elements to simplified yet catchy Drill, I'm always left in this album's grasp due to how energetic and full of life it is. Not only does he capture a masterful electronic essence but manages to maintain that essence ... read more
The vision is there, now we learn to execute.
Doechii has a lot to offer. Don't let a 60 fool you into believing this is negativity coming her way because I enjoy lots of her rap performances. Jaylah Hickmon is no stranger to the rap game, I mean she built her way into TDE right in there with great artists that she clearly has studied and utilized into her own sound whether it be bits of SZA, Kendrick, Isaiah or whoever. The album flourishes more in personality and passionate energy ... read more
