Groovy and bouncy with a nice whistling tone in the background guiding the track. Then the electric piano on the backend seals it all together.
The chorus is pretty fun and the outro of the track is electric, my only gripe is the slow buildup.
Dreamy, sparkly, bedtime pop with a retro feel. Driving down the highway at midnight vibes.
You ever feel like a little fish in a big bowl? Yeah me too, and so does Nana. Gives me vibes very similar to Kero Kero Bonito but unique in its own right.
I didn't hate it. Nothing really stuck out to me or made me want to bond with the record more.
This album is generic as hell with its biggest weakness being the beat selection. The last track is extremely off putting as well. There is something here for sure though that gets highlighted better on the track "No Games" with DrownMilli's ability to make an infectious melody. This thing really just sounds like a blur of the popular sounds of 2018 + 2019.
Never realized he's naked on the bover. Extremely influential trap project that showcases Thugger's ability to get into pockets and flows that no other artist of the time could. Some of the lyrics could have aged better but to anyone who sits on the blaim of Thugger being pure mumbles go listen to "Halftime." Thugger's bocaine is white like Justin Bieber and likes fish and water.
WOW! I went into this thing really expecting the general sentiment to be a little overblown but there is literally NOTHING on this that stands out. Not to mention this thing feels extremely dated on arrival, not like it was attempting a retro sound more so just being stuck in the past.
Stranger in the Alps is an emotional rollercoaster destined to get some tears out of you with its beautiful vocals and gripping storytelling. If you are feeling or have ever felt sad before there will be something for you on this project. A 100 for my 100th review only feels more fitting

This thing is cinematic as all hall painting a picture of a futuristic trip into the afterlife all based in the set of a tv sitcom. This project has a super strong start with explosive tracks like "Gasoline" and "Take My Breathe." Add to this that every track on the front end of this project flows so well into each other it really makes for a gripping experience. Unfortunately, I feel like the quality does take a bit of a nose dive at the midway point starting with the track ... read more
Evergreen is a sincere and vulnerable record further cementing PVRIS as a mainstay in the modern rock scene. While their style of music keeps evolving with the times their personality shines through on each project the same. Songs like "Animal" bring back the classic vocal growl Lynn utilized on previous projects in full effect giving major attitude to the song, On the complete flip side songs like "Anywhere but Here" and "Love is a..." are much slower and ... read more
Thunderous and consistent Viking metal with high highs and above average lows. This thing does some amazing storytelling as well really painting a scene as the songs progress. Haven't listened to much Amon Amarth previously but a great place to start.
I wanted to like this so bad. I know many love this album and I can sit and understand why for certain. The instrumentals are great and super punky it is just Billy's vocals that I cannot get behind. They are just my personal kryptonite. They do absolutely nothing for me and get in the way of liking the rest of the music unfortunately. Respect this for being genre defining and influencing music to come but I think I just found my personal hot take album.
CLASSIC ALERT!!! First exposure to this album was on Tony Hawk's Underground 2 playing on the Australia map from the song "Add It Up." That song would go on to have the pleasure of being one of the first songs on my iPod Nano when I finally started buying singles on iTunes. My only regret is not listening to the rest of the damn album as a kid and waiting to my adult years to finally go back because this thing really is amazing.
This album has plenty of high points so it is hard to ... read more
I normally would never listen to this thing with heavily religious music just not being for me but it being a Kanye release I of course listened upon release. I put it down after the first release and never really picked it up again outside random songs here and there. Going back to it I find I still haven't missed anything really memorable here. The lyrics on this are so scatterbrained even outside of the infamous Chik Fila line on Closed on Sunday. Add to the fact that some of the previously ... read more
Did you know there were backing vocals on this? Yeah neither did I and they are awful too.
Impressive EP with a gloomy feel to it. Paired with the vocalist's higher pitched vocals it is a nice juxtaposition. Going to keep my eye on this artist and check on their other projects after this one.
