Listened to this because I’m literally obsessed with “SkeeYee” at the moment, and while the whole project doesn’t reach that high, it’s still such a ridiculously fun and hilarious project with a lot of energy and really solid trap production.
“GUTS” isn’t a full artistic turn from her previous album, but it does show some solid artistic growth from Olivia Rodrigo and features some fantastic production to back it up.
I really liked “DEMIDEVIL”, and while this certainly feels like a little bit of a dip in quality (which is disappointing), it still has some great production and is overall pretty enjoyable. (and the Ethel Cain track is great)
I can’t believe I’m saying this…but I kinda liked the new Addison Rae EP???
Until her single “Obsessed”, I literally only knew Addison Rae as a name for being TikTok famous. But this all changed when she decided to make music…and I HATE HATE HATED “Obsessed”. I still absolutely hate it, and I never imagined her making anything I found to be listenable. But I had heard rumblings from people whose opinion I respect that her leaked music was ... read more
Solid album from Quavo. The production is consistently pretty great and I really appreciate the attempts at more focused songwriting (especially the ones dealing with the loss of Takeoff), however not all of them work as well as I think they could and there are just a few too many filler tracks that don't feel like they serve much of a purpose. These filler tracks also easily could have been put out as part of a deluxe or something if he really wanted them out. But nevertheless, enjoyable ... read more
I need more time with it, but I do really like this even if I don’t think it’s quite as good as his last album.
Dev Lemons going insanely hard, the production being genuinely great, and “Pineapple Upside Down” somehow being one of my favorite songs of the year…Queef Jerky did it again! Another ironic funny silly goofy haha project with actual production value.
Also “Why’s it John Wick 3 not 5” made me die laughing for like 2 minutes and I don’t understand why please help my brain is broken.
“Austin” is a commendable album from Post Malone that sounds pleasant while it’s on and has some really enjoyable highlights, but as a whole it doesn’t really leave much of an impression on me and just kinda goes by, and it doesn’t reach its full potential as a result.
Post Malone is an artist I’m very nostalgic for: “Stoney” came out while I was in middle school and while I don’t love that project it has some incredible pop-rap songs, ... read more
Don’t quite think it’s as great as The Loneliest Time but still a great pop album that will definitely grow on me with time and more listens (just like the A-sides did)
Edit: already grew on me more. 80 to 85
Found this LP at a used record store the other day for $4.99 and bought it because I thought it looked cool. But wow I was NOT expecting it to be this good. Such a fantastic disco album.
Also, for some reason the version on Apple Music has a ton more songs than the vinyl, but after doing some research I think the album is only supposed to be the first 7 songs. So that’s what I’m counting, even though the other songs on Apple Music are awesome too.
Finally heard this in full in anticipation for Utopia tonight, and while it’s not amazing it is really solid and cool to hear Travis’s sound in the early part of his career.
A few forgettable songs here but this is a fantastic pop album that deserves all the praise it gets.
Not as great as the movie but this is still very fun and enjoyable. My favorites are the Dua Lipa track, the Billie track, the Charli track, the HAIM track, the PinkPantheress track, and the Fifty Fifty track (and of course “I’m Just Ken”)
