RIP Lil Keed
While “Keed Talk To ‘Em 2” is a little too long and samey overall, it’s still just a really good showcase for what made Lil Keed stand out and what made him such a promising and refreshing artist in trap music. The production is consistently very solid, the features are mostly solid too, and Lil Keed comes through with a lot of dynamic and interesting performances throughout. I prefer “Long Live Mexico”, but this is still a very enjoyable ... read more
“Lil Pump 2” is surprisingly not as bad as I expected it to be, but it’s still way too long and no way near as fun as it would need to be for me to get enjoyment out of this.
This actually started kinda solid with the first two songs, but then it quickly devolved into being either boring or straight up garbage (Pump Rock x Heavy Metal). Still kinda surprised that the whole album wasn’t dogshit, but still wasn’t all that good or something I’ll ever return to.
“Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds)” is a hilariously ridiculous album title but actually a pretty great album! (Never saying the full title again though. This shit will be called “Hot Between Worlds”.)
Yves Tumor comes through again with another ambitious and consistent album that sees them experiment and meld different sounds. Time will tell if I like it more than “Heaven To A Tortured Mind”, but as of now ... read more
I GOT MY TOOTH REMOVED!!! 🕺🕺🕺 AND I DON’T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT!!!! 🕺🕺🕺
“10,000 Gecs” is a really solid album that feels like the natural evolution of 100 Gecs and their sound, but the strange rollout and the almost 4 year wait for it makes it feel more underwhelming than it is.
Also, Frog On The Floor…wow. Definitely a song. That now exists.
Lily Allen was soooo ahead of her time on this album. Balancing her whole edgy, tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic, and just generally funny approach to her songwriting with more honest and serious topics is an approach that current pop artists like Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo directly pull from. So while I may prefer “Alright, Still” by just a little bit, I do really enjoy this album and the more electro pop approach that it took. And while it may not have as many songs I consider all ... read more
Listening to and being obsessed with “LDN” is one of the earliest memories of listening to music that I have, so even though I already think this is a pretty great record, the nostalgia factor makes me appreciate it even more.
Well then. That was really all over the place and I’m not really sure what it was trying to be. One moment you get some standard and kinda bland pop song, and then all of a sudden there’s a moment like “Handstand” that is so strange and bizarre that I have no idea if I actually like it or not. But I guess I give it credit for at least trying something? I don’t know, I’m a little baffled and need to hear this a few more times but here’s my review for ... read more
Decided to check this out because Jordan Ward is opening for JID & Smino on tour, and this wasn’t great but it was a decent album. Jordan Ward clearly has a lot of potential, but I just don’t think his music is fully realized yet. Definitely interested to see where his career goes though.
Not amazing but still a really solid rap project. This is the first project I’ve heard from her, but I’ve heard other songs of hers before and I think she has a lot of talent and potential and there are some great highlights here.

LETS GO THIS IS GREAT!!! YET ANOTHER FANTASTIC ALBUM FROM KALI UCHIS!!
I applaud the effort and I appreciate what he was going for, but this doesn’t really work and is a disappointing listen overall.
Edit: after more listens I really don’t have much to say. It’s grown on me a little bit for sure, but it’s still just kinda dull and boring. Nothing is all that special about it other than the production, which is consistently pretty great and elevates this project significantly. This is just a frustrating release from Don considering how much ... read more
This album slaps.
I haven’t really heard as much of Gorillaz’s discography as I should, but I desperately need to because I thought this was great. Concise tracklist, fantastic production throughout, and sonically it’s very cohesive and I love the direction of the album. I can also see this album growing on me even more and becoming an album I’m obsessed with, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see my score go up.
While I may not like this as much as “Vinyl Days”, Logic still comes through with a really solid album and continues his streak of quality music on “College Park”.
Finally listened to this in anticipation of his new album, and this is really solid. It’s not amazing and it’s not my favorite project of his, but it has consistently solid production and really good performances from Don Toliver throughout. There are also some standout highlights, as “Issues” is one of my favorite Don Toliver songs.

This was my first time really listening to Caroline Polachek (outside of the great singles “Bunny Is A Rider” and “Welcome to My Island”), and I really like this. This is just really well executed pop music with fantastic production, solid songwriting, and great vocals throughout. My first listen didn’t quite blow me away, but listening again it already started to grow on me more and I can see it growing on me more with every listen.
Also, I’ve had ... read more
