There is sparse drumming and guitar work, but for the most part this is simply a beautiful ambient album.

I used to listen to this one quite a lot, but after a while I got bored of it and moved into other ventures into music. So, I've decided to take this track by track and revisit it!
1. Memory
A alright opener to the album. The lead singers vocals are interesting enough that they don't bore you, but I think this first song displays the problem with this album in that it doesn't really get too heavy. The chorus is catchy, and the breakdown is okay, but other than that, it's cookie cutter ... read more
I recently discovered Vein's previous album, Errorzone, and loved their sound. It was raw, dark, and most importantly, heavy as shit. The entire album was on rails the entire time. So needless to say, when I learned that a new album was coming, I was pretty excited.
Although this album deviates significantly, I think it still retains the aggression and exquisite drums and bass that their first album had. While I greatly appreciate them experimenting, I think it falls flat sometimes. For ... read more
This album has an almost "punkgaze" vibe to it. While there are definitely punk elements, it never fails to be ethereal and atmospheric (in a way). The interlude track "Boundary", while very loud, is also quite calming. A definite listen for anyone who's into punk and/or shoegaze.

From the beginning, it's easy to tell that this is vastly different, especially compared to their first album. (Bad Omens) Noah's clean singing is much more of a presence on here. And while that was true for the second album, (Finding God Before God Finds Me) I think it kind of butchered his voice in a way. One complaint I have is that for the first have of the record, there's a very clear formula. The song begins with the clean singing and electronic touches and then near the end there's a ... read more
If I could summarize this album in one word, it would be "beautiful". This gives me such an uplifting feeling even though the lyrics are so depressing. Really the only problem is the mixing and the vocal quality. He is not at all bad at singing, but the low-ish quality mic can sometimes pull you out of the otherwise amazing music. I'm very excited to see where this artist goes next.

At first I thought I wouldn't like this album a whole lot, but I think the first two songs are a little bit misleading because damn this is some good Djent/Mathcore. This album is one of those albums where half the time you're not entirely sure if your tapping your foot to the right beat. I can also appreciate that the whole thing is on rails the entire time. And it's also impressive that it kept my attention for the entire 56 minute runtime, as I seem to have a God awful attention span. Very ... read more
Daaaaaaamn. I was quite impressed by their second album and I decided to give this one a listen. I did not expect to hear what I heard. Omit leans into the doom metal side of the genre and I expected to hear something similar to that here. But this has it's completely own identity. Elude feels a lot more atmospheric, with an 80s esque tone to the guitars and ambience. It stands on its own as a damn great album.

I remember not liking this when I tried listening to this a while ago. I don't know what I was on because this kinda slaps. It's not perfect, but it is pretty good. It experiments a lot with electronic elements and it actually works pretty well. The album is at its best when it's at it's heaviest too.

Much darker, more brooding, and heavier than their first EP. The vocals are more pronounced, with slightly less reverb on them. There are moments when guitars will absolutely attack your ears, the tempo can be slow sometimes, but it never made me bored because it did enough to really interest me.

Edit: After listening to this EP many more times, I've updated the score to 93.
This album isn't bad by any means but it just didn't do it for me. Most of the songs just don't have enough flavor or unique style to really hook me.

Not bad. I was feeling a little uneasy about this album after listening to the Title track, but now I think it'll hopefully be better than FGBGFM.
Better than the last single, pretty catchy and slightly djenty interestingly.
Meh. Maybe I just don't like this because I'm very fond of their first album, which was entirely different to their new stuff. The clean singing is good but that's all I can give this really.
Not bad. This album feels almost grunge-esque, which depending on the person can be a good or bad thing, but in my opinion it services it.
