This is Toki's magnum opus. No other album compares. It's not my personal favourite collection of songs (That would be Desiderium) but this is still bloody brilliant and gorgeous. My only issue is that the two rap songs (Thief and No Way) feel a bit out of place and are just not as good as the rest of the stuff on this album imo. But the rest is absolutely killer.
TOP 3 SONGS: Rouge, Rose's Thorn, I Wish I Could
absolutely fire. The sound on this thing is amazing. I love how well it combines this indie and electronic sound. This has been one of my most anticipated albums of 2023 and it sure as hell delivered.
TOP 3 SONGS: Pure Smile Snake Venom, Sugarcane Switch, Heels Over Head
Katie Gately's debut album is an incredibly fascinating listen. There are a couple songs on here that I find to be a bit dull which drags down the ranking slightly for me, but the songs that are hits are absolute fucking bangers. If you're a fan of Bjork, particularly her more creepy and unsettling songs, this is an album for you. This is a pinnacle for experimental/industrial pop.
TOP 3 SONGS: Frisk, Tuck, Lift
This album is nuts. The vocal samples on this thing are wild. The textures on this thing are wild. This is electronic music taken to it's absolute extreme and I am living for it.
TOP 3 SONGS: Please, Hive Mind, Rhesus Negative
Don't really understand why people don't like this one, I personally love it. It's like Views/Octopus but a bit more industrial and ambient. Sure it's not as good, but it still is pretty cool.
TOP 3 SONGS: NR 3, NR 4, NR 5
I think most people considering this to be Nosaj Thing's best work but I disagree, preferring he debut album. Granted it's still certainly top 3 as every single song on here is incredible.
TOP 3 SONGS: Aquarium, Distro, Heart Entire
Clear Tamei is Iglooghost's current magnum opus for me- understandably he has a lot of potential and time for future projects but right now this is his most exciting work. The sound on this are so unique and the songs feel properly connected.
TOP 3 SONGS: New Vectors, Clear Tamei, Nama
I think this is pretty handily Lauren's best album counting both what she has as Nero's Day At Disneyland, and what she has on her new account Lauren Bousfield. There's not really much misses and there's a ton of incredibly sick and twisted songs. Breakcore unlike any other breakcore out there.
TOP 3 SONGS: Sprawling Idiot Effigy, In Aisles, Action Winter Journey
This is a really great album. It's definitely on the larger side for TOKiMONSTA and as a result I feel like there are some tracks that are kind of dead weight but the best tracks on this thing are beautifully ethereal and gorgeous. I think vocally this is the best album too, both in terms of the guest vocalists and the songs containing vocals from tokimonsta herself. They all blend together wonderfully creating an incredibly ethereal experience.

Plunderphonics has always been a fascinating genre and I think this is definitely an opus for the genre, maybe not as good as the avalanches debut record, but the warm fuzzy vibes that this project gives are so sweet. Disney movie fans will get a lot out of this one
TOP 3 SONGS: Flux, Boy & Bear, Grow Fonder
It's a really sick experimental pop record. If I had to assign the season winter an album, it would be this one. The production is just ICY cold and so are her vocals (in a really good way) it honestly feels like you're listening to something surrounded by a cracking glacier.
TOP 3 SONGS: Uniform, Substancia, Parallel
It's got that grimy witch house feeling for sure. Fans of Crystal Castles who want something a bit more chilled out but with that same general vibe, this is definitely the place to go.
TOP 3 SONGS: Wear Me Out, On My Mind, Queen
Lorn once again does not disappoint, and I do think his debut is a little bit worse than his other stuff but still it captures the vibes perfectly. If you're looking to go through every Lorn record you should go chronologically starting with this one (obviously) but if you want just one, I'd suggest the maze to nowhere probably.
TOP 3 SONGS: Until There Is No End, Cherry Moon, None An Island
Am I crazy for this being my favourite flylo album despite being a soundtrack? Maybe, but god it is just so good to listen to. It is obviously very clearly influenced by the culture and that combined with flylo's already unique production style makes this just such a cool listen through
TOP 3 SONGS: Sachi, Pain & Blood, Your Lord
I feel like this is the best album for OPN fans to start out with if they don't have any specific vibes they're looking for. It's got the wonderfully rich and strange production and vocals of his later work on the first half, and the more ambient stuff of his early work in the second half. I dont think it comes together particularly cohesively but honestly I do not mind whatsoever because everything sounds cool as hell
TOP 3 SONGS: Babylon, The Station, Toys 2
Everything I can say about this album has already been said. I am defeated.
TOP 3 SONGS: Instant Crush, Touch, Contact
THIS IS A B-SIDES PROJECT??? It genuinely sounds just as good as a regular album. The first B-Sides... yeah those make sense as B-sides. This sounds like a legitimate album. So many really sick songs.
TOP 3 SONGS: Veranda Shove, Wistful (Fata Morgana), Sex
