A list of songs that got me interested in a particular artist. Maybe it's the first song I heard from them, a song I heard from them after not hearing them for a long time which led to me becoming interested in them, songs that inspired me to listen to a full project from them, etc.
Song: In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning
Pretty sure I first heard this off of the '1001 Albums To Listen To Before You Die' playlist on Spotify.
Song: Strange Fruit
This one's kinda cheating since I didn't actually listen to this full song, but the history behind it and the talk about how disturbing it is convinced me to check out Nina's music.
Song: Dreams
I had this summer camp thing at my drum lessons that lasted a few hours a day. I was in a band that had to practice 4 pretty easy songs to play for a concert. Dreams was one of those songs, and when I got home and listened to it, I instantly fell in love with it and replayed it for weeks. It has grown to become one of my favorite songs of all time. Unfortunately though, the rest of this album doesn't seem to be on the same level as that song.
Songs: Mother, Hold On, Isolation
I couldn't pick just one song off this album. I fell in love with these three songs while I was still in my Beatles phase a while back, and it got me interested in this project, though I've only first listened to it about a month ago, mostly because I wasn't an avid album listener back then.
Song: Roxanne
I mean, c'mon, it's Roxanne!
Song: Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)
Stranger Things.
Song: Don't You Want Me
Can't remember if this was because of that one Alfo Media video or because I heard it on the radio of my memaw's car...
Song: Isobel
Didn't check her music out for a few more years because young me was a fucking idiot who listened to Imagine Dragons and Twenty One Pilots.
Songs: Sick & Tired, In The Afternoon, Over The Water, Cloudy Sky
I had of course already heard Lovefool before, but it wasn't until I had heard these four songs that this band really got my attention. I wanna thank my uncle for this one, who's a Cardigans (not to mention Bjork, Garbage, and The Cranberries) fan.
Song: Ms. Jackson
I had already heard Hey Ya! and Millennium, but this is the song that made me realize 'holy shit, I need to listen to more from these guys.'
Song: Back In The Day
My old middle school band teacher played this song for the class one day and I loved it. Erykah has since grown to become one of my all-time favorite artists.
Song: Avril 14th
Probably the worst possible introduction to Aphex, but oh well.
Song: Change (In the House of Flies)
My dad's a big Deftones fan, so he used to play a lot of their music. Thank you dad, this music fucks.
Song: Ocean Man
SpongeBob movie.

Song: Human After All
My uncle used to be a big fan of Daft Punk, and he showed me songs like Digital Love, One More Time, Da Funk, Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, etc. He also told me a lot of info about them like their real names and faces, the soundtrack to Tron: Legacy, Interstella 5555... Hell, my history with Daft Punk goes even farther than that. My parents used to show me the music video of Technologic when I was younger, which I am still wondering how I never got nightmares from that. But it wasn't until about a year ago when I was watching a mega-mashup of meme songs on YouTube. One of the songs included was Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and it included footage of a Daft Punk concert. I thought the concert looked really cool, so I looked up one of their concerts on YouTube. I was scrolling in the comments just looking at what people were saying, until I hit a random timestamp that someone had posted. When I pressed the timestamp, it led to a song that I thought sounded super good. So I went to find of those things in the comments where people post the timestamps of when all the songs start, and found out that song that I liked was called Human After All. So I searched the song up on YouTube, and there it began. I first listened to most of the songs off Human After All, then Discovery, then Homework, then Random Access Memories, and now I'm a big Daft Punk fan. I've always liked to share this story someday, and it's cool I get to share it now. I have so many connections and memories of this band when I was younger, it's crazy. RIP Daft Punk.
Song: I Will Follow You into the Dark

Song: Eyes Down
Anybody else watched Holes a (w)hole lot as a kid?
Song: Criminal
Shoutout to my mom for this one.
Song: When You Sleep
My friend had recommended this one to me. I thought the song was boring at the time, and while I think the song is pretty good now, I wouldn't really say this one got me interested in the band, it was just kind of a random decision to listen to loveless. Still, I'm including it for the fact that it was the first song I heard from them.
Song: Sell Out
I get an instant wave of joy whenever this song comes on the radio. Reminds me of Good Burger for some reason.
Songs: One Headlight, 6th Avenue Heartache
Song: Take a Picture
Very misleading for the album, but I'm glad it was the big hit.
Song: Get It Together
LittleBigPlanet.
Song: Time is Running Out
Song: Someday
It came on on shuffle one day and I immediately knew I had heard it before, just didn't know when or where. I listened to a few other songs from Is This It, and soon the full album.
Song: Vision One
LittleBigPlanet 2.
Song: Casimir Pulaski Day
Saw it in a 'saddest songs of all time' list and got interested in it.
Song: Carefully Planned
Heard it in one of Brad's streams.
Song: Atlas
LittleBigPlanet.
Song: Gold Digger
Decided to randomly watch the music video one day.
Song: Toxicity
Saw the music video one of those throwback 2000s-era MTV nostalgia channels.

Heard a part of it on one of Brad's streams, immediately got intrigued by the sound.
Song: Daft Punk Is Playing at My House
