Disappointing. The tracks that Joji has on his soundcloud from the past few years are stunning in many different ways, but his first commercial release strips all of those older songs down and removes all emotion, leaving a mere skeleton of an EP.
It seems that most of you cannot appreciate this piece of art. I am a 103 year old bisexual man from the Philippines, and I can understand the level that Grace is on. Please be nice.
Yea, it isn't as good as his previous efforts this year, but it still proves that Bones is consistent as hell.
How Much Xans And Lean Do You Have To Do Before You Realize You're A Fucking Loser
Soulja Boy influenced nearly 100% of the rap that you hear today.
Cheesier than Taylor's old teen country pop. Where 1989 was directed towards the mainstream while retaining plenty of enjoyable songs, this new project is going in the worst direction possible.
Nothing amazing, but nothing that was worse than average either. Super Slimey is a consistently solid album that takes no risks, but delivers what fans would expect on a Future and Young Thug collaboration project. I still believe that Thug is the better artist on this tape, but Future definitely has some moments where he outshines Thug. Overall an enjoyable project, but one that won't be played much a year or two into the future.
fav tracks: Killed Before (standout), No Cap, Drip on Me
If this song wasn't about prostitution, it would actually be pretty fuckin listenable and catchy.
The song probably should have been cut by about 2 minutes, because holy shit did they repeat this chorus over and over. Sounds like a b side from Oracular Spectacular, very half assed and one-dimensional.
I did hip hop, so here are the best songs of the year so far that are NOT within the genre
Jonah Renna - Star Destroyer
Slowdive - Slomo
MC Boing - Dance Floor
Blanck Mass - Please
Xiu Xiu - Wondering, Queen of the Losers
Lorde - The Louvre, Supercut, Writer In The Dark
Pallbearer - Dancing in Madness
Brendan Byrnes - Fluorescent City
Richard Dawson - Ogre
Charli XCX - Emotional
The XX - On Hold
I have a LOT of catching up to do with this year's releases; haven't had a ton of time to really ... read more
If you rate this below 60 then you just dont understand it. Plain and simple.
So yeah that was a fuckin joke but this album has a few songs that go pretty hard and are obviously not meant to be compared to anything other than other Soundcloud rappers. Still very shitty, but D Rose and Boss can be dope.
This is the epitome of hip hop in 2017. With the style ranging from pop rock fusions, to emo rap (with Lil Peep), to upbeat pop trap, Antwon takes in some of the most popular subgenres of modern hip hop and makes them his own. The Matt Ox feature was pretty badass too.
fav tracks: Visine, 94s, Perrier, Ritas
Really been trying to narrow down my favorite songs of 2017 recently. Since there's so many hip hop projects being put out, i'm going to do one exclusively for hip hop.
