Nice EP. There’s definitely a lot of mid moments on this thing, but the production is super well done, and similar to Starboy, the standouts are great: just the lows are lower here.

I know most people consider this Abel’s most commercial album, and while that’s definitely true so far, I feel like he was able to go more mainstream while still staying true to his sound. This album feels like everything that Beauty Behind The Madness tried to be, but on another level: with the fun disco production of Daft Punk, and relaxing yet captivating melodies. The main thing that stood out to me about this album was the insane number of standouts: the first album by The ... read more
This album blends the line between the safety of folk and the daringness of indie, and it works out quite well. Preacher's Daughter tells a captivating story, surrounded in an aura of mystery.

This album has slowly but surely grown on me, making it clear that Playboi Carti has been an innovative force of rap, even before the game-changing LP "Whole Lotta Red." This album is just pure fun, but it still stands out in the pack of 2018 trap albums, with its phenomenal production led by the great Pi'erre Bourne. The variety of features, from Skepta to Red Coldhearted, are all high-quality and complimentary to Carti's performances: something that can make or break an ... read more
Nostalgic while still relevant, with unparalleled storytelling. A great concept album, and an even better alt-pop album.

While this LP has its moments of feeling typical of dubstep, it's still some of the best you'll get in that field. Plus, there are plenty of innovative tracks, specifically the more melodic ones, to counter for it. Plus, this deluxe just makes this already great album that much better.

It's shocking to me how Jane Remover was able to effortlessly transition from a generally upbeat hyperpop album, to a dark indie rock album. Intricate storytelling, guitar riffs that are nothing short of incredible, ethereal vocals, and so many other incredible aspects of the LP that make it clear how much time and care Jane put into this album. I can’t recommend this album enough, if you’re looking for something to give you a raw, human experience, while simultaneously being ... read more
Ironically, there are only a few bad things about this LP. This might be a hot take, but I prefer this album to CARE FOR ME, as it covers a wider variety of genres, and generally leaves me feeling more satisfied after listening.

The epitome of teenage creativity. Frailty effortlessly bounces from hyperpop to alt-rock and everything in between, with unique lyrical subjects and fuzzy vocal mixing that creates a nostalgic vibe: perfectly fitting the cover art.

An album with great production, but vocals that I found nearly unlistenable at times. re:wired has its moments, but I found this to generally not be anything too special.

While this used to be my favorite Rocky album and has slowly grown off me to become my least favorite work of his, that isn't to say this is bad at all - there are just as many great tracks on this album as Rocky's prior works, but TESTING feels less original and authentic than those.

This isn't the most polished project, but Rocky's creative intentions are clear: and they're great.
This is Rocky's strongest project. Every aspect of it feels more intentional, and altogether it's undoubtedly a masterpiece. This project brings a psychedelic atmosphere to rap in a way that no artist ever has before.

Bitch pussy smell like a penguin. Wouldn't hit that shit with my worst enemy's penis.
This album is fucking awesome. A mix of hard hitting songs like the title track and "Fuckin' Problems," and ethereal ones like "LVL" and "Hell." While this album doesn't match the caliber of Rocky's sophomore album, it's still an incredible work of art.

For some reason I can't find the deluxe re-issue, but that's really what makes this album so damn good to me. This is generally just a super fun album, from nostalgic pop cuts like "LUV" and "Hate The New You" to more unique ones like "Bankrupt :/" and "Going Stuck." While REBIRTH is undoubtedly a better album, I find myself revisiting just as many tracks from FUNERAL.
