A powerful album that absolutely captivates you with its range of sounds and emotionally charged lyrics. I think it's going to take a few listens for me to really come to a final conclusion on this album.
Not my usual genre, but explored this anyway after a recommendation. Not really for me, but I think some people could really get into it.
Nice enough that you could probably lose yourself within it, but I personally just couldn't really get going.
Captivating and mostly brilliant, 'On the Verge' is a brilliant introduction to the music of Nahko and Medicine for the People.
Just awful. Not much else to say.
(Possibly the longest 4 minutes of my life too)
Brain-numbingly bad. Props to Madchild for managing to sound worse than Tom, as well as sounding worse than pretty much anything else I've heard before. I hate this for existing.
Not good. It gets a point since Fighter at least seems well-intentioned. Everything else about this sucks.
Excited for a new album - this single has hints of the brilliance they showed on Better Strange
Just really sweet and enjoyable. It's nothing special or different per se but is a really pleasant listen throughout.
Enchanting, mesmerising, captivating - however you want to describe it, Alice Phoebe Lou's performance on 'Orbit' is quite literally out of this world.
Pretty enjoyable, they sound like Sly Withers for the majority of the album just with a different accent.

1. mad, especially as manifested in wild or aggressive behaviour.
That sums this album up pretty well - the production is absolutely wild, Danny and Peggy put in great showings, and the frantic energy throughout is unmatched. You can hear how much they enjoyed making this in every single track!
Controversial opinion - Dancers is the best song on this album, of the year, and one of the best BC, NR songs released so far. It has everything I ever wanted to see in a post-Isaac song, whilst still keeping enough of his style and influence to maintain that iconic BCNR sound. Turbines is a 99/100 for me ;)
In terms of the album, this absolutely defied all my expectations. Up Song is an incredible introduction song - upbeat and catchy (although for a while I thought the lyrics were BCN are ... read more
One of the best pop albums I've listened to in a long time. Polachek takes all the best parts of pop and pushes them to their limit, resulting in an album that is a joy to listen to and is as ambitious as it is refined. It's only let down by a few slightly less impressive tracks scattered throughout the album.
Packed full of energy, but just not that enjoyable to listen to - production felt a bit off throughout and as an album experience it got quite repetitive the longer it went on. It's definitely packed full of talent, enthusiasm, and energy, but in terms of musicality it left me underwhelmed in all honesty
Short, sweet, and enjoyable. Listened to this after his performance of 'Ti a Fi' on TV, and this was a pleasant little EP. Looking forward to what he does next :)
