Who knew that this far into their career Radiohead are still capable of making some of the most beautiful yet depressing albums they have released yet?
While this isn't my favourite release from them, this is still easily one of the best albums they've ever made. This chillingly beautiful sound that plays all throughout the record is so intriguing and makes for an interesting and emotional listen. This quiet somber sound is riddled throughout the album, and it just makes it so beautiful. ... read more
Radiohead's most underrated and overhated album in their entire discography. How do people seriously consider this to be WORSE than Pablo Honey? Sure, it's definitely one of their weakest projects, and it doesn't help that it came after such a long slew of fantastic albums, but is still a really good release.
One of the main complaints I've been seeing is that it's boring. I don't understand that at all. This is the shortest release from them that I've come across, and while there were a ... read more

I really need to give this some more listens. This album didn't grip me instantly, but I began to fall in love with it in the latter section. Most everyone here considers this to be either one of the best or THE best Radiohead album, but I don't see it as that for a very particular reason. So yeah, I think I'm going to give this a few more listens before finalizing my opinion, but here are my initial thoughts.
For the most part, this album is stunning. Most of the songs on ... read more
This album seems to be Radiohead's most mixed in terms of its reception. It seems that everyone either sees this as one of their best releases or one of their worst releases. Personally, I have some mixed feelings myself.
I feel like, as a whole, this is yet another amazing release from these guys. Most of what was given to us here is what I've come to love about the group: great experimental alt rock songs. Throughout this hour-long fourteen-track album, there was so little downtime that I ... read more
Radiohead's sophomore project shows them really stepping forward and creating something much more masterful than their debut. While this is still a far cry from their future projects both in terms of quality and experimentation, this is still the best they've done with their early alternative rock sound.
Considering how badly they got off with Pablo Honey, I'm actually surprised they managed to pull off something like this only two years later. This album is so consistently good that it's ... read more
After hearing some of Radiohead's more popular releases, I decided to come and listen to their least popular release which just so happens to be their debut. Now that I've heard this, I can definitely see why this isn't as well received as their future projects.
It's so weird coming back to their earlier days. The albums with more praise and the ones that I've heard have all been really experimental and interest, but Pablo Honey is just alt rock at its blandest and most generic. I feel like ... read more
When I read that this was just an album of Kid A left-overs, I didn't have the highest expectations. While I had a feeling that Radiohead could potentially have some great B-sides, I was still quite worried. And while this is still a really, really good album, it's still the weakest I've heard from them yet. Still a great record though.
For the most part, the songs are great. I do think that a lot of them are not on par in terms of quality as their previous two releases, but that's to be ... read more
I have no words to describe this work of art. This is without question the best thing I've heard from Radiohead yet.
I listened to this album a couple of times, and both times I've been left with little to nothing to say. On my first listen, I had the lyrics up as that's what I did with OK Computer and I assumed that that was what made me love it so much. I gotta say, the lyrical content here made me so emotional. While I know that most of the lyrics came from assembling words at random, there ... read more
Since I'm trying to get into death metal, I figured I may as well try out some black metal as well. This being my first black metal record, I'm pretty impressed. I can't say I like it as much as other extreme metal projects I've heard, but this is still really good in its own right.
To start off, I thought that it was a really interesting choice to quieten the vocals so that they weren't louder than the instrumentals. While they were definitely present and noticeable, they weren't exactly ... read more
Edit: After giving it a few more listens, I think I may have overhyped it a bit. I loved it as much as I said for the first two or three listens, but since then this has worn off on me. I now find myself coming back to this a lot less than both Piñata and Madvillainy, and I find it difficult to actually convince myself to listen to it again. Still, this is a tremendous album and still one of the best to come out of the year so far.

Hath's Of Rot And Ruin is a vast improvement on their debut EP Hive. I feel like this improved on the only issue I had with that album. There isn't a dull track on here to bring this album down. This is just a great death metal record.
I loved most of what was presented here. The harsh vocals here are some of the best I've heard from death metal (which admittedly isn't much), and the instrumentation is consistently great. Whether it's the amazing guitar work on songs like Usurpation, or the ... read more
Hath's debut EP is pretty fucking brutal. This gave me pretty much everything I expect from death metal, but it actually surpassed any expectations I had.
It opens up with Apparition, the longest song on the album, and unfortunately it's my least favourite as well. While I don't think it's bad, I did think it dragged a bit longer than it should have. It also really doesn't help that every other song on here is so much more memorable and enjoyable. Take for example Replicated, the second song. ... read more
This is why I love music. Every so often I find something that really blows me away. Something so amazing that it makes me question if I've found a new favourite genre; a new favourite artist; maybe even a new favourite album. And at the moment, that album is black midi's schlagenheim. While I ultimately decided that this wasn't my new favourite album (obviously) - hell, it isn't even my favourite album of the decade - it's still my current album of the year. Unlike most projects I listen to, I ... read more
Thanks notbuzzzila for recommending it to everyone, pretty much the only reason I even knew this existed.
Bad Book's debut self-titled album is honestly one of the best indie-folk records I've heard. Granted, I haven't listened to too many, but out of the few that I have heard, this is easily up there as one of the best. While I'm not as big of a fan of this album as pretty much everyone else who has reviewed this, I still liked this quite a bit.
This album could definitely be split up into ... read more
This album is too unfairly overhated. This is a really solid thrash record. Sure, it isn't the best in Megadeth's catalog, but it's still a good album.
One of the main complaints I've been seeing here is that Mustaine's vocals aren't as good as they used to be. And I definitely agree. It was one of the points I brought up in my Super Collider review. However, while this is far from his best vocal performance, it's not as bad as some people are making it out to be. It's not the uninspiring ... read more
I'm not too sure how I feel about this song. This is definitely one of the heavier songs they have released in quite some time, which is to be expected considering all the shit Jonathan Davis has been going through. I just think that this isn't the most exciting first single they could have released. To me, this definitely proves that the album may be the most emotional release since 1996's Life Is Peachy, or maybe even since their debut. And while I was excited that we might get another ... read more
Well, this isn't the worst Megadeth album. I'm actually kinda disappointed, I was looking forward to something incredibly bad. And while this is bad, it's more boring than anything. It's not nearly as unlistenable as Risk. It's just the mix of boring instrumentals and the fact that this is easily Dave Mustaine's worst vocal performance yet.
There were a couple of tracks on here that were passable. I feel like Kingmaker, Built For War, Off The Edge, The Beginning Of Sorrow and The Blackest Crow ... read more
I've been putting off Radiohead for far too long. They're not only one of the biggest modern rock groups, but they're one of the biggest rock groups ever. I have to admit, I was originally going to review this for my 100th review, but I was too nervous to tackle this. 'What if I don't like it?' I would ask myself, 'I'll be setting myself up for disappointment.' It really didn't help that two of this band's albums have been in the top three highest rated albums on the site, and both are now ... read more
Hmmm... their thirteenth album is called Th1rt3een... and it has thirteen tracks... and the thirteenth track is called 13... Yep, they cursed it. It's a miracle that this album didn't suck. If you do THAT much to curse your album, they're extremely lucky this isn't the worst in their discography.
While I do think this is one of the weaker projects in Megadeth's catalog, I still think that this is a decent thrash album. The instrumentals in certain tracks were as good as always, such as on ... read more
